i dont buy it. i think both haye and wlad (nd their promoters) know boxing is in trouble, especially heavyweight boxing, and this is the closest to a superfight the heavies are going to have since lewis/tyson.
they are both trying to hype the shit out of this fight, a fight that sadly i dont see being very competitive.
my prediction, haye will come out blazing early, if he catches wlad, he may knock him out and win, but i think after 1-3 rounds, wlad will clench and eventually start landing that jackhammer jab, haye will taste his power,( and then haye will not be so eager to chase wlad down and trade punches) and all the sudden it will turn into a typical w.k. fight, him controlling distance and carving his opponent up with lots of jabs, and eventually landing a big straight right in the late rounds for the tko.
gentleman’s wager to Irish:
if this is NOT how it goes down i will in bold type in a full paragraph write a dissertation on how Fightinirish is the great omnipotent soul daddy of boxing knowledge.

And maybe FightingIrish will make the same promise/prediction about the Pacquiao-Hatton fight
I like Haye’s style, but while I think he can knock Wlad out, the weight difference seems really big. Also Wlad is no scrub, and his 1-2 (or should I say 1-1-1-1…(5 rounds later)…-1-2-1-1-2) may overwhelm Haye the first round it starts to connect.
Off-topic P.S. Has anyone seen this: Tyson (2008) - IMDb
I really liked it. I came to understand some of Mike’s fuck-ups and struggles.

Agreed. I’d like to see Haye win, just to shake up things in the heavyweight divison (I’m not a Wladamir hater though, just don’t think he’s what the sport needs) but I don’t see him getting around Wlad’s lurch-like reach and jab.
CAL SLAPPY(lol, that is funny is hell, cal-SLAPPY, lol)would unfortunately fuck froch up. styles make fights irish, you know that, with the cobra’s straight forward style and him keeping his hands low, is tailor made for jc. he would, as you like to say, bitch slap froch to death and barely ever get hit. at least that is just my opinion.
Another great showing from Lopez. There’s not much to not like about this kid.
But I was still rooting for Gerry. What a heart, good job that Roach called it quits. That questionable loss against Ponce De Leon, the win over Jhonny Gonzales and now toe to toe with Lopez? The guy’s got nothing left to prove…
Couldnt believe that Froch fight, what an insane finish! haha
What a turn around. Felt bad for Taylor, tough one to lose! He looked great at the start of the fight. I bet he really regrets not pushing for the finish in round 3, Froch was all over the place!
Sadly I dont think the callout will get Calslappy off the couch…

I think so too. But then seeing slappy fight someone under 39 might be a trip
lol, good point, but remember jc is 37-38 himself.
Obviously you’re a big Hatton fan, and I am too. But I’ve got to root for my countryman Pac on this one. I think I’m one of the few Pac fans that look closely at his weaknesses than his strengths.
My biggest fear of Pac is that he’s never fought anyone as big as Hatton. My old boxing trainer, who fought DLH, thought as I did, that DLH would come in 15lbs heavier for the Pac fight.
So Pac isn’t ready to fight someone of this size and ready to pressure him like Hatton will. Also, I believe Hattons footwork is very underrated and will help him against a southpaw. The biggest plus for Hatton is that he’s fought the fastest and most skilled fighter in Mayweather, so Pacs speed will be nothing new to him.
So honestly what do you think Hatton’s weaknesses for this fight will be against Pac?
There have been some great fights on lately…I really hope boxing can pick back up in popularity. I don’t understand how sports like baseball are so popular when you can watch warriors go to battle in the ring instead.

tradition, in this country, most have played football, baseball, or basket ball at some competitive level in there life time, so they can relate, even though all three of those sports can be quite long and boring. how many people have grown up with an inside understanding of competitive combat sports?
So, everyone think Hatton is going to win tomorrow?
I’m actually going with the Pac Man on this one. I think he’ll stick and move and out-point Hatton in a decision. I can’t see him standing close and trading with Hatton, knowing that he doesn’t have that kind of power.

I like Pac Man in this fight too, but I expect it to be a good competitive action fight.

Well, Hatton lost, but the good news is that THE KING IS BACK.
Thoughts on Floyd fighting Marquez?
Definitely not an easy fight for Floyd, especially with him being out of action for over a year. But, I like the fact that he’s returning and jumping right back into action against a top-level guy.
klitschko is now the “ring” magazine heavyweight champion . he dominated a young strong hungry top 5 contender with a stellar amateur pedigree including olympic medals.
