The Bodybuilding Bible

Brick-

What do you think of my workout? I’m not lifting based on days per week, rather on 2-4 days on, one off. Doing sets of 8-10 for DB work, and ramping 5x5 for DL and squats.

Day 1: DB MP, DB incline, skullcrushers, kickbacks
Day 2: DL, Kroc rows, preacher curls, unilateral db curls
day 3: DB low incline, DB flat bench, CGBP, overhead tricep extensions
Day 4: Squats, leg curls, calf machine, abs

New to bodybuilding- not new to lifting, background in football and track.

Jesus.

Do you post under multiple names here too, brick?
Dude, there’s a whole lot of useful information and meaningful (I think so) conversation in most of this thread. In the last few pages I just explained why I don’t post on this forum so much anymore. That is, I don’t care to be slammed for not bodybuilding hardcore anymore.

I still love bodybuilding in the same way some people love baseball despite not partaking. Nothing wrong with this, but some people on here are VERY sensitive.

I don’t post under multiple names. I had another name A LONG TIME AGO, but haven’t used it in YEARS.
It does seem like you know what you’re talking about… But at teh same time trying to drum up new business.

You know… MArketing 101 in the last few pages is all.

Thanks.

I don’t have a business (YET). I plan on starting a spare time business in the fall or winter. I work full time in a nursing and rehabilitation home as clinical nutrition manager and assistant foodservice director (thrilling).

And uh… when was drumming up business a bad thing?

This is something has always puzzled the shit out of me - people criticizing people for drumming up business!

Isn’t a resume a way to drum up a career for for oneself?

Don’t people use sites like Linked In and Monster to promote THEMSELVES. So why should business owners and corporations not promote their business via PR and advertising or just simply telling people about?!

You think Biotest maintains their site and this forum simply for FUN?

You think the authors on here write articles just because it’s fun or just for the few hundred bucks they make for writing them? NO! They write it to promote themselves.

And thankfully so! Do you know how much worthwhile products and services customers (WE) would miss out on if people didn’t promote their products and services. How would you find a good doctor? How would you know about a good movie that came out? How would you know about a new food item at a restaurant?

When the heck did marketing, PR, and advertising and word of mouth become bad things? This shit never ceases to amaze me, and its infantile thinking.

I’m not intending to start with you at all; I have nothing against you. It’s just that you have 7000+ posts on a site that wouldn’t exist without revenue generated by some means - revenue generated by marketing. This freaking forum you’re posting on is a marketing and PR tool.

Easy killer, I never said it was bad think, or that you shouldn’t…

Just pointing it out, because I found it funny. I mean I don’t go to Verizon Wireless trying to sell my BeansBrand cell phone service.

No worries man… Really.

I think there are alot of people on this site who’ve found the balance between their personal lives and training. It doesn’t look easy to do this + a 9-5 and kids to worry about but I don’t think it’s impossible.

I guess I’ll find out what I can still do at that point in my life, for now it’s fairly easy to find time but I know that won’t last forever.

I request that you quote ONE FUCKING SENTENCE in this entire thread in which I promote my services considering I don’t offer any services!!!

And as for your example - going to Verizon to sell Beans cellphones - what are you trying to imply - that because I’m not as experienced as authors on this site, or don’t own a multi-million dollar company like Biotest that I shouldn’t one day attempt to earn a fucking living in my profession, no matter how little or big this living might be?!

You find this shit funny - earning a living and promoting oneself? There are people on here and on Facebook who’ve approached me to help them but I’ve turned them down because I don’t have a business yet. That’s funny. How old are you?

And no worries? Uh, I’m not worried. Just a bit ticked off that you think you can poke fun at someone for discussing nutrition and fitness and perhaps promote a business (if that’s what I was doing).

I don’t have kids, but I have other shit occupying my time - other concerns and priorities. I don’t think this is something to brag about like my NYers do - think they’re hot shit because they’re so fucking busy. My life will calm down after I move and get this class out of the way. But I still don’t have a desire to get so huge anymore because that will infringe on other areas of life; I know that. This does NOT mean I’ll discontinue exercising 6 hours per week; my fitness routine just consists of other exercise now and less weight training.

I still have 5 to 6 meals per day also. But as I said, I’m not lugging around a cooler in a mall so that I get enough calories for the day because a Wendy’s salad might provide a little less than what I’m supposed to eat.

I don’t like it. But if it works for you, do it. I’ve never seen a strength routine or bodybuilding routine that looks like that.

LOL. Dude if this is how you handle other people’s perceptions, you might not want to start your own business. You will burn out quite quick. I never attacked you, but instead pointed out that you were turning a great thread into an advertisement for something other than what the thread is supposed to be providing information for.

LOL. You are a sensitive man aren’t you?

The last two pages where you have been appealing to the hearts and minds of all the Joe Six Packs, that just can’t see it in themselves to put forth a quality effort, is perceived by me, to be shilling your ideas and self promotion, yes. Where did I say you shouldn’t do it?

My favorite part is where you tried to pull the parental guilt card by saying you can’t be a hardcore bodybuilder and be a good father too. LOL! Dare you to go tell Skip he isn’t a good dad because he competes.

And don’t play dumb when you respond to this, It is annoying & unbecoming.

Old enough. Dude I speak with people who have 8 & 9 figure AGI’s on the daily. I help people run $20,000,000 businesses 7 days a week. I just got off the phone with a client in fact. My biggest summer client handles well over $5 billion in investments & is our firms biggest billing. I run that job.

So when you actually are ready to start up, feel free to contact me, and I’ll be more than happy to help you get started.

But don’t think that there aren’t people that see through your general fitness push the last few pages. Your goals are your goals, and I’m not putting them down. Just pointing out how you are coming off, in a forum that is supposed to be about the very thing you are denouncing the last two pages.

Not poking fun at all. Again, you seem to know what you are talking about. So… Why not continue talking about that?

I mean, I work a lot of hours, have a wife, kid, house, etc… I still find time to lift 4-6 times a week. Get this I hang out with my friends too, lol. Tell SteelyD he can’t be a good dad making the progress he does.

Listen, if you are going to go in business, you need to develop thicker skin first off, and secondly this is a great thread, so I’m going to stop here. If you still want to play dumb or flip out because I pegged you, PM me or start a thread in GAL.

I actually know lots of people at college that like to brag about being busy, mostly girls. I really don’t get it, it’s like they like to make it sound like I’m wasting my time if I’m not running on 4 hours of sleep and a case of energy drinks on a regular basis.

Anyways good luck with everything dude.

I never said you can’t be a great dad and lift. I still lift, just not like I used to. That is, I don’t and won’t go to certain limits.

And I said I can’t multi-task good PERSONALLY. I said if others can swing it, they should continue! I know I can’t.

Wow, that was the most retarded attack ever on here.

Who attacked who?

I don’t think I attacked anyone.

I also don’t know what I’ve been shilling. I explained why I don’t post on here that much - for the very reason that Counting Beans demonstrated here - getting attacked because I no longer partake the way I used to.

See what I wrote before here (caps added):

“Not to mention that I DON’T CARE TO BE SLAMMED anymore simply because I have “walked away” from bodybuilding training, don’t care for being huge anymore, and am just after general fitness…”

$20 a program, PM me, I will send you my paypal information and once you pay I write you a solid template directed towards your goals.

haha

You didn’t. And I find it funny that they call you sensitive when yet in another thread which I will not mention a man asks a silly, yet harmless question and right away they question his physique and sexual orientation. I think they have the sensitivity issue.

Oh please… Stop being a “poor me” vaginaface.

Grow the fuck up. You have been pimping general fitness on a fucking BODYBUILDING forum. Plenty of people have been called out for it before you, and you aren’t special.

Either talk about fucking bodybuilding and quit trolling, or go hang out with the 175lbers over on the island.

I’m starting to understand why stronghold called you out. Him and I don’t see eye to eye on some things, but I really understand where he was coming from now.

(Now that is closer to an attack than my last few posts. Lol at how fast you will burn out running a business.)

I assume it will look pretty similar to the very first post of this thread?
