Hello.
HI!
wow that got ugly
Indeed, but its because other people got so sensitive that that guy no longer bodybuilds even though he still loves the sport, and that he shouldn’t be posting in the BODYBUILDING forum.
Fuck I hate it when the word bodybuilding is capatalized because of many people who post on these boards.
Anyways, how has your lifting been going brick? What are some of your current PR’s, in weightlifting and conditioning?
Hi Brycknice, I am a rank novice (almost a month and a half training) and found your bodybuilding bible as one of the best threads on this site. It helped me structure my training a ton and was quite simple and practical. Thank you.

I’ve also found the bible to be a great resource. By getting my split in check, and eating like I need to, I went from 148lbs-170 in about 2.5 months while managing to stay pretty lean. I gained some fat of course, but not much. The weight was justified because I’ve also gotten a lot stronger. So thanks.
I love me some BrickNyce.

Same here, except the stats are a little different I basically started lifting a month ago at around 160ish and now sitting around 175. Ill update pics tonight after my back workout. I love the forums on here but find the articles and authors in particular to be sort of impractical, and boring. I couldn’t imagine going to the gym thinking about half of the stuff these articles suggest.

Not setting any PR’s in lifting. Well, I’ve set PR’s in what are full body workouts. (Obviously when you first start those after years of not doing them, you’ll be very weak in some exercises in the middle and end of the workout.) I do two of these per week.
I run 4 times per week now. I’m sort of addicted. Two of these workouts are a sprint session and a running-metabolic conditioning session. Sometimes I play handball instead of distance running.
I’ll probably go back to a three day split in the winter; I just don’t like being indoors in the winter for recreation and fun. I’ll do two upper body days and one lower body day with three days of running and/or conditioning workouts. Flushing Meadows Corona Park has an indoor 200 meter track.
Again, as I said, I value fun other than fitness these days a bit more than I used to. If I have to miss workouts to see an old friend or do whatever else can’t be done on some weekends, I AM missing a workout. No, it’s not hardcore. But whatever. I don’t encourage others to do so if they want to get HUGE or in spectular shape. I only care about being in good or OK shape now.

That’s what I don’t get. People have no problem talking about ball games despite the fact that most of them–including sports journalists, managers, and broadcasters–are so unathletic they can’t even punch their way out of a paper bag and the last time they stepped on a court or a field or got under a bar was in high school or college.

Feel free to stop by my log with your thoughts.
I think you should resurect the “dumbass phrases of the last decade” thread. That one was gold!
I just seen countingbeans’ profile pics and I can’t stop laughing.
Beans, clean your room you lazy bum. It’s a fucking mess over there.

Let’s get some training talk going on in here.
C’mon

Brick, can you list a few obstacles you think most newbs encounter and how they can be avoided? or somethings you wish you had not done coming up? as in diet, training choice, etc.
