I’ve been lifting since I was 16 and am currently19. I’m 6’1 180lbs with 10% body fat. I want to take lifting to a new level. I want to become a body builder. My problem is I don’t know where to start. I know nutrition and hard lifting comes first, Hower I’m not sure about programs, splits, or the body builder life style. I am serious about becomeing a body builder and will do whatever is called for to reach my goal. Can someone get me on the right track.

Use the search function and type in “Professor X: a request”.
Read through that thread from start to finish.
Make sure you understand the ramping/pyramiding up part as well.
That should do the trick.

I used to type the whole standard bb approach in use today out in maybe 3 threads per day. (and I still have to explain aspects of it, especially the ramping part, every second day on here lol)

One sign is that you start to feel that training with others that you thought took it seriously and kicked their ass now holds you back.
Find a mentor, preferably in person, obviously you can ask many people for help around here. That’ll get you to know about the lifestyle and other stuff; some things you’ll like, others you’ll find scary.
I agree with what Cephalic said for an appetizer and to further add I believe that no one can tell you which exact path to take. Not some guru that hasn’t worked out in 10 years, a local “vet”, and not even bodybuilder that are actually in the mix and up on stage. The drive has to come from within. A forever burning inner fire. Being capable of overcoming any bump in the road and never faltering. Never relenting.
From the first day I hit a side chest at a whopping 187lbs wearing an UnderArmor shirt 2 sizes too small in my old heavily pampered facility to the time I hit the same pose in front of a cracked mirror weighing 252 semi solid ass pounds, wearing a heavily faded black shirt I got from a swap meet, in a facility that provided me only with equipment and a “You’re fucked (in spanish)” if I thought I was too hot or cold: I remained unmoved in my direction. I know where I need to be and only death is going to stop me. Not through the direction of others did I walk down this path, but through the input and experiences of others being condensed and the useful ideas becoming my own. God speed
