Hey Ponce! It was a Nike commercial - lots of fun. You won’t see me though - my scene got cut. Ha! And yes to 80s hair band. That’s pretty much me.
I’ve still been training on the reg which is good. I’ve switched gears a bit tho and decided to go for my 1RMs. This way I can get an idea of where I am before I go into soccer season. So I’m currently working on that. You’d be surprised how hard it is to wrap your head around singles.
Anyways, here’s where I am:
Bench - 3x105 < I’d be happy with 1x115. Its doubtful.
The bench continues to suck my balls. Let’s just say I haven’t stalled, i basically plummeted. All that accessory work didn’t do a thing.
Chins - 7, 6, 5, 4, 3
NG Pullups - 5, 4, 3, 3, 2
PG Pullups - haven’t done yet
These are up and feel strong. I’m happy. Its slow progress, that’s for sure.
Squat - 3x175 < I’m shooting for 1x185.
I fixed my depth problem. Went back to 135 and did high reps till I got the “feel of it”, jumped up from there. I tell you now, I hit parallel but that’s it. I know it ain’t right, but i just want to see how much weight i can move in “good” form.
Dl - 5x200 < I REALLY want 230. That’s also a stretch, but why not.
We’ll see what happens. I need to remember to keep my stomach tight.
I also want to Snatch 40lbs. I can rep 6x30, but when i get to 35 it all breaks down. I’m going to see if Victor will coach me through it. I’m sure with his help I can get it.
So that’s it! I’ll have videos of said lifts soon enough! And maybe even a little surprise for you all…
