Actually, Belle, i’m not a stress eater per se. My problem is that I’m prone to binge eating, which is a really REALLY bad habit - perhaps worse than stress eating b/c i can pack away A LOT! Sometimes its triggered by stress, other times boredom, other times actual hunger…who knows! Its almost shameful to admit that I do it, but what can I say? I work around it by literally “working out” around it - scheduling my workouts so that I capitalize on my surplus calories. Again its probably not as healthy as being disciplined, but it keeps me in check.

As for the 2 hr workouts - things have changed a bit from the begining of the log. Back then I was doing “full body” workouts (which after reading your log Belle, I highly recommend fo you) that were pretty high volume. That said, I STILL spend around 2 hrs at the gym! Maybe i’m just a slow poke - but my main lift generally takes me 1/2hr to complete 5x5, so that takes up quite a bit of time.

And yes…I will admit…I am kinda chatty at the gym…I CAN’T HELP IT!!

Short naps between sets allows for better recovery though, nothing wrong with that!

Maschy, most often I’ll spend an hour and a half at the gym, so that’s not so far off what you do. I’m pokey about setting up and videoing all the sets of my main lift. That is the main culprit. I also take time out to spot my husband when we lift together. Other than that, I generally don’t chat much at the gym.

MiM - you’re not weird. Stress kills my appetite. I’m the girl who always loses a shit load of weight after being dumped, rather than finding solace in a tub of Haagen Dazs.
I tend to eat excessively when I’m bored and/or when I have PMS. Those are my danger times.

And 2 hours in the gym - wow. I generally don’t spend more than an hour there. Often it’s less. True, I’ve run for longer, but that’s a different sort of deal.

Last night was DLs - I just changed up my accessory work, so some things are a bit random.

DL
5x 125, 150, 175, 200
4x 185

I did get all 5 on the 200, however I didn’t fully lock out on rep 4 and 5, so i’m calling it a no-go and sticking with 200 until they’re beautiful reps of 5. Also on the last set I felt a weird twinge behind the knee, could have kept going to 5 but figured it wasn’t worth it, especially with the hammie debacle.

Rack pull (below the knee)
2x 185
5x 155, 165, 175 < so now I’m gonna pull lower reps/higher weight on these in my ongoing quest to strengthen the posterior chain. Thinking I was only doing 5 I shot for 185 off the bat - oh hellz no! you bitches are strong to be pulling the weight you do!

Rev lunge
5x 40 DB
15x 40 BB
15 x 55 BB < I just don’t feel these!

Switched to static lunge 12x 95BB < ok, now i feel it…

hypers (wt behind head) - 15x15, 3x15x20

Wtd decline situps - 4x10x15 < switched b/w behind head and front of chest throughout.

Finished it all off with front squat “Tabata” 45 BB. I really had to force myself to do this btw! Ugh.

In other sport related news: Yesterday i auditioned for a sport commercial (can i say the brand name? I don’t know…). They wanted female soccer players and somehow I ended up in the mix! I went to the casting agency and saw about 40 other girls waiting to see the casting director, some of whom I knew from the circuit, and two of which play on my team. We had to come to the casting dressed in our soccer gear - I wore my Messi jersey. Upon entry they took pics and wt and ht measurements, i was the shortest…and then we were called into the casting room 1 by 1 and asked to juggle and do tricks. It was hilarious! Of course none of my fancy ass moves were working for me!!

Anyways, If i get the commercial we shoot this Sunday. And then you guys will get to see my mug on primetime - schilling for imperialist child laborers…but famous no less.

This morning I did my hill sprints (7 this time) and ran 4 miles. I meeting a gf for dinner tonight, might squeeze in some upper body work prior to.

Damn girl, so much work. I love the determination. And no, you can’t help that you like to work out, I have long sessions as well. Some psychos think that it’s the worst thing ever, but if you like it and can handle it, what’s the problem?

Anywho, good luck with the commercial. Not so much for you, but for me so I can see your gawgeous-ness on the big screen :wink:

Hey everyone!

Sorry I’ve been a bit MIA. My birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks and Mascherano gets a bit moody in the lead up. On top of that, I’m turning 30, so I’m diligently working on getting my shit together. I’m still training, so hopefully next time you see me I’ll have some formidable numbers to show for.

btw, I did get the commercial!! Filmed on Sunday. It was a very fun but long day. And as luck would have it, I was benched, literally. So the only “action” you’ll be seeing from Mascherano is from the sidelines. HA! On the plus side, I got a fancy pair of expensive cleats out of it. Mascherano loves free stuff!
