4x16 med ball p/u is plenty warrior to me. Tip on overeating well: plan 2-3 portions of carbs and protein for supper. When your done eating 2 cups (or more) of brown rice that choco won’t look so tempting.
Give it a good try. Hey, people have done alot more “disordered” things for the fountain of youth.
If’n I don’t eat every couple of hours, I become a raging homicidal bitch. This diet would kill me. Or I’d kill someone on it.
Thanks ladies! and great idea nlmain. actually the book recommends just that!
So yeah, like kimba, the Masch without food is pure evil. However, I can’t freaking believe it, but i think i’ve actually liberated myself from the habit of daytime eating! This is day four and I already feel loads better. Not only am I not hungry, but I also haven’t really thought of food at all, except to be like “hmm…maybe i should eat something?” On top of that, my energy level is incredibly high and stable. In other words I wasn’t tired all day and didn’t have my normal afternoon crash.
Naturally, I am still very much looking forward to my evening feed. And yes, i still think this concept fosters a bit of an unhealthy relationship to food (putting that much emphasis on one meal). But I think I can get a handle on what i eat and not eat junk - especially since i don’t have any junk food in the house and now not eating feels somewhat normal. Honestly, I can’t even believe I’m saying this!
Anyways, since I’m about to get my period (hey boys!) I don’t think I’ll know if I’ve leaned out any until that’s come and gone. And with that, I shall stop clogging my log with this silly diet stuff.
Still on deload random workouts.
Yesterday did my fave pilates class.
Today easy, breezy lifting:
foam roll and mobility
Squat - 8x95, 10x105, 2x10x125
chin ups - 3x5 < first set all weighted with 5lbs, 2nd set only 3 wtd, 3rd set 2 wtd
pushups w/ feet elevated - 3x15 < these were easy! i need to soup em up on the next cycle

Me too.
Yo
nice squats.
I need to get the food thing squared away- the new baby has not only crushed training-
I forget to eat all the time.
And are you getting excited- for WC?
I broke out all my club Jersies I have a good collection of italian small club jerseys
I don’t find the ‘diet’ talk lame, assuming it’s also accompanied by training talk. I’m interested to continue hearing about how it is (or isn’t) working for you!
Kmc - Forgetting to eat?..sigh. FUCK YEAH for the world cup! So clearly you’re rooting for Italy?
Hai Sanp and Blue! The diet is actually going great! I’m thriving quite nicely and feel super fine. Its actually interesting to talk to people about it b/c it sounds so unconventional and their reactions crack me up. Today, one friend kept calling it the “Worrier Diet” - ah, NYers. And while complaining about how “full” my muscles looked, my other friend was kind enough to call me a “little glucogen stored beauty”. Melted my heart that.
I’m still working out the kinks re: my feed and not over-carbing, but i’m sticking to it!
Deload is officially over.
AM training - 6 mile run over Bklyn bridge with intermittent sprinting (so lovely!)
PM training - bench press. Today, bench sucked ballz. Not only am I NOT progressing, I’m RE-gressing. What gives?
Bench - 5x65, 75, 85, 95, 2x105 < so frustrating!
BB Rows - 5x50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 95 < added an extra set, wasn’t too hard actually
Supersetted:
Pronated pullups - 10x2 (BW) < i got more here then when I normally do neutral grip. Gonna try for 3 reps on next round ![]()
Pushups, both hands on Med Balls - 4x10 < HARD! but love them, let’s you get your chest down low
DB side laterals - 15x8, 3x15x12.5
And that’s all she wrote.
I really need to figure out what’s up with my bench. I believe my form is good, so I don’t know why I’m so weak here. But i’d be willing to vid if anyone thinks that would help. Anyone got any pointers on how I can strengthen this?
I vote for a bench vid.
Those pushups on med balls are tough. Good for you!
Could it possibly be a mental block?
Your DL form is pretty! I wish mine looked like that. I’m afraid that it’s so bad that I don’t want to video it!
_Me
A 6 mile run, working all day, extreme diet, all play a role in lifting. Some form of fatigue will set in.
How did the 95 feel? That should of indicated whether you could/should jump the 10lbs. Than again, maybe it
was just one of those days.
Bench, for me, is one step forward two steps back. So other than saying “keep on keepin’ on” I’ve got nothing.
Nice work on the pullups and pushups! Those are looking good, and should take your mind off of bench a little.
I also vote for a bench vid!
And I think Print is right, your numbers will definitely be affected by a long, busy, not-very-restful day.
On the positive side, your rows and pull-ups are kicking ass! And those med ball push-ups are really tough, I’m sure they’ll translate to some more strength on your bench if you stick with them.
Sweet guys! Thanks for the encouragment! A bench vid it shall be.
On top of everything you guys mentioned, I also suspect that I may have deloaded too early because today I’m totally knackered and Aunt Flo has yet to arrive (I’m scheduling deloads by hormone changes). Those fecking boobie pills messed up my cylce and now I’m hitting 31 days on the dot, whereas before it was 27 (now everyone knows…how nice). Must remember for future reference.
That said, I won’t be lifting again until Sunday - world cup got me all tied up! But tomorrow I do intend to do some cardio and maybe work on my chinups prior to the start of the games.
Vamos vamos Argentina, vamos vamos a ganarrrr!!!
YAY WORLD CUP!

“boobie pills”? Please elaborate.
The WC is going to be a blast. My 9 year old is a soccer machine (keeper mostly) and I’m looking forward to some father / son time watching.
dito what Print and Blue said. My hardest lifts are always compromised by diet and other lifts/activities.
To make you happy I will totally root for Argentina (unless they are playing my German or Swiss people, in which case no dice).
eeew thanks for the update??![]()
sometimes lifts stall while progress is being made in other areas-
deads, squats -bench -sometimes they dont all move at once.
food and conditioning work hurt that too.
Im not a big bencher- and its my first lift to stall.
the run over the Brooklyn is nice- have you done the Manhattan Bridge- the view is nice.
I used to run from my mom’s house- thru the hood,
all the way down Flatbush over the
bridge to Queens at the beach- and then back
but now Im old ![]()
Macsherano- huge Italia fan- but they never play clean or with a clue
their club teams soooo much better
have a great weekend
Seems like you, Brute, and I are all synched up, menstrual cycle-wise. How fun is that? A true sisterhood.
