The Akuma01 Thread

Honestly, this thread is 1000x better with these pictures.

thumbs up for that
Lol all i wanted was some faith and time. If i had posted that picture of my 260lb butt, i wouldve been laughed at. Yea i still got a bit o Fat hanging around the midsection, but im feeling a hell of a lot better with my body now, more comfortable. Grooves, niches, shapes, sweeps- All coming in now.

Mineswell keep the good times rolling then- This is a pic i took a few ago to showcase Upper back thickness. Now before anyone says anything about lat width, just know i am not posing here for width, nor would i ever pull this shot on stage. This was something i wanted to check out simply to test the effectiveness of the couple months i took doing Pendlay rows instead of standard BB rows, and focusing on my upper back (had no upper back before). Id have to say im satisfied with the result.

Hard to judge without a comparison photo: but your upper back looks good.
And anyone with some human anatomic knowledge can clearly see that your lats aren’t small - even though you’re not spreading them.

Pre bulk back

Pre cut back (after a recomp phase so i had lost a little before this)

then the several weeks into cut back.

[edit] well this one didnt post, but its the back shot i posted earlier, so w/e

[editx2] ok it decided to upload

Anyone else notice how big Akuma’s tris look from the back? Got a mean hang to them.

Can I predict you will be a hamsom mofo when cut up? (no homo)

Back thickness is looking solid, so are the quads in the other pic. I’ll be interested/excited to see your progress in the next few months. Keep up the good work and keep your head up.

very good job, thick as a brick, good frame man, keep it up the diet, try not loose ANY muscles you gained…

You can display that back thickness before executing a back double bicep or lat spead pose.

Some lats for those curious.

I bet mario’s calves and quads were pretty beast. Dude could jump

Lat spread looks good man. Great progress overall! You’ve always been one of my favorite posters, you’ve had your fair share of time under the bar, with results to show, and you also have a good sense of humor when posting.

Keep it up bud!

Youze gonna look good, holmes. Sick legs.

Looking great. Back width will be even more impressive as your waist leans out more.

Thanks guys. Just wanna make you proud sniffle

Oh please, everyone get their collective panties out of a bunch. The pic looked funny to me, very high sweep, that’s all. I was trying to find out if it was just the pic, bad angle or whatnot, or if Akuma did indeed have a high insertion point. He would know, after all. Somehow this is “ignorant” and “bullshit”? GTFO.

I wasn’t criticizing, merely asking for clarification. If a simple question like that is too much for Akuma -or anyone - to handle mentally, he’s got bigger problems than my dastardly post. I mean, fucking seriously.

… but I’m sure Akuma appreciates all the white knights around here.
Bullshit. There’s been a lot of that “Fuck him if he can’t take it” attitude in this thread, and that’s a nonsense cop-out.

That said, doubleh is a good poster. I’m sure he wasn’t saying it just to be a tool. However, it seems obvious to me that giving a dude dieting down for his 1st show a bunch of shit (even if it seems reasonable to those posting) is something that common-sense should tell you to avoid. I mean, we’re all bodybuilders here, right? No one wants to feel like they’re getting “smaller”.

You should all understand how some of the stuff that has been mentioned is counter-productive and obviously not in the guy’s best interest…
Thanks… I think.

I have not kept up with this thread, only dropped in recently, so I can’t speak on whatever else has gone down. I CAN say, however, that my post was neither a cop-out, nor intended to be inflammatory. It looked, in the picture, like Akuma may have trouble getting a great quad sweep, through no fault of his own. I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. If one has a - and I’ll choose my words carefully here - potentially lagging bodypart, is it really that big of an issue to ask a question about it? Or are we supposed to tiptoe around all of that, lest we hurt somebody’s feewings?

For someone as experienced as Akuma, I’ll bet my ass that, if he has a problem with his quad sweep, he is already well aware of it.

This picture, taken a couple weeks ago, show my legs from a different angle. In this shot, they are not as angled out. unfortunately, i dont have a Straight on shot of my legs, but i believe this photo will show it isnt as drastic of a slice in if i dont POSE to enhance it, know what i mean?
Understood, and yes, in this pic it is not noticeable at all.

Keep it up bro, solid progress in the cut so far.
