It looks like there’s a huge gap between the outer sweep and your knee. Not trying to be a dick, just curious as to whether the pic is really doing you justice, or if you were dealt a shitty hand genetics-wise in the leg department.[/quote]
Akuma is dieting for his 1st show, which will screw with anyone’s head, and as much as he probably appreciates CONSTRUCTIVE critism, I don’t think bringing up crap that he has no control over is a good idea. The insertion point of his vastus lateralis looks just fine.

THANK YOU.
They do this bullshit to random pictures all of the time…analyzing minute details as if searching that damn hard for a fault. For a guy that big to drop that much weight is a mind fuck to start with…but all of these retarded responses picking apart every detail of this guy at his first time out is fucking ridiculous.
To anyone else, I would actually recommend you AVOID putting your pics on this site if doing the same until already dieted down. Most of the people doling out responses are NOT trying to help you do better.

I’ve repeated this quite a bit in emails and in my various online posts. Let the guy push through and pat him on the back if you’d like. He’s controlling all the aspects that he CAN control (not insertion points of various muscle please). When we started, Akuma was weighing in at 256 lbs. Just seeing the changes everyday in the mirror (let alone feeling your clothes fit looser) will mess you up something awful if you’re not mentally tough enough.
Oh please, everyone get their collective panties out of a bunch. The pic looked funny to me, very high sweep, that’s all. I was trying to find out if it was just the pic, bad angle or whatnot, or if Akuma did indeed have a high insertion point. He would know, after all. Somehow this is “ignorant” and “bullshit”? GTFO.
I wasn’t criticizing, merely asking for clarification. If a simple question like that is too much for Akuma -or anyone - to handle mentally, he’s got bigger problems than my dastardly post. I mean, fucking seriously.
… but I’m sure Akuma appreciates all the white knights around here.

I apologize for starting all of this with my post. I have “been there, done that” and I know that dieting and thinking of being on a stage almost nekked for everyone to judge, will really create anxieties. I meant by post as constructive critisism to you. If I had made the mistake that you did, I would just say “My bad”, bad timing, and I’m sorry. We should be supportive for a member like Akuma who is genuinely putting in the work and willing to put it all on the line.

I posted an avi in the past with relatively low bodyfat levels. When starting another size phase, I realized I was already getting bigger than that, so I’ll just have to wait to the next time I diet down to see the difference!

Bullshit. There’s been a lot of that “Fuck him if he can’t take it” attitude in this thread, and that’s a nonsense cop-out.
That said, doubleh is a good poster. I’m sure he wasn’t saying it just to be a tool. However, it seems obvious to me that giving a dude dieting down for his 1st show a bunch of shit (even if it seems reasonable to those posting) is something that common-sense should tell you to avoid. I mean, we’re all bodybuilders here, right? No one wants to feel like they’re getting “smaller”.
You should all understand how some of the stuff that has been mentioned is counter-productive and obviously not in the guy’s best interest…

Yes there is a huge gap btwn the outer sweep (vastus lateralis) and the knee. I have purposely done that tho. The angle you were looking at it wasnt the greatest to display what im going for, but hopefully this picture im posting will show it a bit better.
This picture (which was taken almost 5 weeks ago) shows how my legs SHOULD look. Notice that huge cut in? Ive been trying to get my vastus lateralis much more developed, so that my quad sweep matches my delt width.
This picture, taken a couple weeks ago, show my legs from a different angle. In this shot, they are not as angled out. unfortunately, i dont have a Straight on shot of my legs, but i believe this photo will show it isnt as drastic of a slice in if i dont POSE to enhance it, know what i mean?
