The Akuma01 Thread

O K, now as a means to kinda remove that little tidbit of nonsense i created…

removes his Flashy Thingy from MIB and flashes T-Nation

So im sitting at just under 220 in that pic, 219 to be exact. Comparing measurements, my arms are sitting at 19, and my calves are sitting at 18.5. Both were 20s pre cut. While my quads have dropped down to 27s, down from 30. They’ll probably both drop a bit more as we get closer to the deadline, but as of right now…id have to say im satisfied with the maintained size and strength thus far.

This picture is a perfect example of me needing to work on posing.

I need to figure out how to flex all the right muscles at the right time. The back pose in this picture for example. It shows some back width, some leg width, and some calf cuts. My shoulder girdle looks like it needs to be brought down, to better display my lats, i think my arms need to be pulled back a bit, as it looks like im not flexing my traps, etc.

heres another side by side for you see comparisons.

Pillsbury Doughboy in pic 1

terribly untanned in the 2nd. Id also take this opportunity to point out those ridiculous stretchmarks on my chest. Ive said it before, but they are approx 8inch long and 1 inch thick. =(

Fantastic, it looks as tho 2 pictures didnt show up, so inc possible double post…

…fantastic, so either i just made a triple post, or you see nothing and are left with my chubby picture. That’s just super.

[edit] im done trying for now, i dont want 12frigging pics popping up of the same 2 shots. Ugh

I may have skipped it but what are you looking to coming in at the show?

I’ve been dropping weight for my own competition lately and still am atleast 20-30lbs away from the conditioning I want to display
I have no idea, but ive heard all sorts of speculations, everywhere from 160-200. So we’ll just have to wait and see lol.

This website sucks ass from a technological standpoint. I’m a member of several forums and this by far is the worst.

Anyhow, it’s good to see that things are moving on track for you and that you’re able to retain muscle/strength. Keep fighting the good fight.

Good mentality. Youre not shooting for a certain weight, rather, a level of leanness. I would like to see that other progress pic, but from the looks/sounds of it, your head is in the right place and you are progressing well. Good luck with the final stretch!

Especially for your first show, I agree with ebomb that the best mentality is to just focus on getting as lean as possible rather than stepping on stage at a particular weight. Once the show is over, you can set a reasonable goal of gaining X pounds of muscle for the next competition.

Good luck

Still working on posing/working w/ my photographer, and as you can clearly see i do still have some work to do, tho this pic isnt entirely up to date.
A little unsolicited posing advice. A side chest can be done several ways to cover up weaknesses and show strengths( as with any pose). You might want to pull your front shoulder back, inflate your chest, place your back arm across the bottom of your rib cage and your front arm’s hand grabs the other wrist and pull in, then slightly rotate your body so the judge can see some of the front of your chest. Hope the pic comes with my post. Good luck and remember that EVERYONE has a hard time with the mind games people( and yourself) play.

Appreciate the support/advice. Will give it a shot Bwhit.

good updates Akuma. Looking good and thats awesome that your strength levels arent dropping much (if at all)

I know you were having trouble loading up that progress pic… you might want to try renaming it before you post it. Sometimes that works (not sure why?)

euharisto, hondros!

Good work, Akuma. You’ve come a long way…way farther than most talking shit to you. You are doing a comp already?

Legs are looking frikkin’ legit from the front Akuma. Shame the other pics didn’t show.

Is it just the picture, or is that a very high insertion point for the - help me out here - rectus femoris (or might be the vastus, can’t quite remember)?

It looks like there’s a huge gap between the outer sweep and your knee. Not trying to be a dick, just curious as to whether the pic is really doing you justice, or if you were dealt a shitty hand genetics-wise in the leg department.
