Did you just say that you’re on steroids? And that you were about to go into a challenge with a guy? That’s really weird.
What’s weird about that?
You’re a roid boy… no wonder your mind is all fucked up. Sure didn’t help your body any. I got money on the cool guy doing the split program. Not only is it superior for aesthetics, the guy doing has a far better attitude than you and he doesn’t cheat. He’s a real man. If you learn anything Rainman, learn from this guy.
GET OFF the roids, they’re meesing with your hormones or something… that’s probably why you attacked upteen people in my thread.
Sorry for the inconvienence cook. Kick his ass!
I appreciate your thoughts that putting on 20 pounds of LBM in 6 months using only OTC supplements is unlikely, and I will enjoy your admiration once the the 6 months are over. My question for you is are you going to accuse me of using juice?
Frankly, it doesn`t matter to me if you juice or not, that is a personal preference for which there seems to be a lot of religion.
And juice or not, if you gain 20 lbs and work you BF down in the next six months - I’ll certainly admit I was wrong and you will have my admiration.
Best of luck achieving your goal, I think a lot of people will be watching for your progress.
No offense bro but that is tough to compare. You havent been training for a while and are going to compare your progress to someone who has been. That is like saying I will accept your challenge after coming off my cut at 256 from 280 plus. I know it will be only a matter of time to get back to 280, shit I am already at 270 in not too long of a time period. I would blow you out of the water. What would make it interesting is to see where I can go from 280, makes sense?
I like the fact you posted your pics and laid down the gauntlet so you are ok in my book. My advice is to use this thread to gage your own progress and hold yourself accountable to your goals regardless of what someone else is doing. So good luck and train hard.
Hopefully you can better gauge my bodyfat with this one. I personally think this is crap because I think this camera is lyeing.
My wife agrees. I am not going to keep searching for better light, whatever. I think this gives you the idea. Hopefully you can better gauge my bodyfat with this picture.
Can still pinch about an inch in the stomach. It is going away.
Sunday will be the end of week 9. I feel week 1-3 (possibly even 1-4) were a waste. In fact I feel I am just now getting to where I can apply some serious intensity.
When I started back up after that long break I think I got sore by looking at the weights, let alone lifting them. Couldn’t apply any intensity, or even my full routine for week 1-2. I guess I am a big fan of intensity.
I watched a video with Ronnie Coleman where he kept saying “light weight,” and I found myself saying that all night while working out this evening. It was actually very motivating.
See, it’s not that the camera is lying so much as it’s the fact that you’re using the wrong shoe brand. Personally, I find the near vertical stripes of Adidas to be a little more slimming.
But, to each his own, I suppose.
Jesting aside, your progress is very noticeable in the “chestal” region, and if I’m not mistaken you appear to be sprouting a set of traps to go along with it. Maybe they’re feeding off that shrinking gut of yours.
Keep up the good work, my man, it’s paying off for ya.
p.s., you might as well toss up some leg pics now, 'cause you know someone’s gonna ask for them sooner or later.

Yes, I am 6’1 tall. 20-30% BF is a rough guess. I had little muscle mass and plenty all over fat.

Should get caliper tested if not dunked. It’ll be more objective than just guessing your BF/LBM. I don’t test for this, going just for strength and aesthetics, but this challenge involves specific body composition changes, so it seems like a good idea.

My hat’s off to both of you.

We were actually going to debate how to prove the gains. After I made this thread we agreed no competition was necessary, if you read back after my first post you can find the conversation between rainjack and myself.
I agree, we would have had to do something to have a base to measure our gains.
It’s almost impossible to get an accurate BF measurement for one person - let alone trying to compare between two people.
A better standard is to just compare before and after pics. The eye can guestimate BF% as accurately as any at-home method.
I’ve got my program lined out - and will be taking pics tomorrow. This is a good time for friendly competition because I need the accountability factor to push me towards Mexico.
Yea, I agree totally with rainjack. I mean, even the water dunking method has a variance and I believe it is the most accurate. Pictures would be the way to go.
And yea Rainjack, I could always use some motivation myself. The stressors of daily life often try to gumption trap my workouts.
Please put up those pics and I am open to any kind of competition. Gotta love a challenge.

although I certainly hope people don’t base the results of 2 individuals using differing training methods as an end-all truth to which training method works better.

People wont do that. Those arguing in the other thread will either: A) Say “See, I told you X style worked”. Or, B) “No, Y style still is way better, this experiment was wrong here is why…”
Than, come pg. 37 in the thread all may stop picking fecal matter off of the back hair of the person in front of them, and fall in line about some other trivial topic.
You look like a big dude already. I am interested to see how that routine works out for you.
I can say I have definitely found some motivation in the gym. I’m training harder just to say Ha to everyone that said I cant do it. pretty childish I guess, but nonetheless, it is motivation.

Well - here are my before pics. They were taken at about 5:30 this morning. I hate taking pictures - especially in the morning.
And yes - my back IS that hairy.
I will be doing Chad Waterbury’s “Bodybuilding’s Next Frontier” program. I started yesterday, and
Anyhow - that scale said I was 236 this morning - but that was before I took my morning pee.
All right, RJ: stop screwing around and post a picture of yourself. I don’t know how you got a half-shaved Wookiee in Bumfuck, Texas, but we’d al appreciate some honesty…
