Hello I was wondering if a swap of flat bench for incline bench would be smart, I’m having pain in my left shoulder on flat bench and I don’t get that pain on incline. I just don’t wanna change up things that would mess up the program or anything like that. Thanks!
This seems an obvious choice. I would recommend not doing any exercise that hurts your shoulder. There might be problems with your form that are endangering the shoulder joint, but if that is the case you still need to avoid exercises that hurt your joint.
As to dropping the flat bench press, IMO, it will have zero negative affect on your bodybuilding goals. I believe you can make a case periods of prioritizing incline press as your primary compound chest exercise.

Thanks! Yeah I’m gonna keep working on form and seeing what I’m doing wrong that is causing it and in the mean time work with incline. Appreciate your response!
