Surgery for Shoulder Labral Tear

I don’t get injured much, but when I do, I don’t go half-arsed. A few yrs ago I felt a ‘pull’ in my right shoulder when mucking about with a mate.
Did’nt think much of it then, but over the last 6mths it’s gotten steadily sorer.
Got xrays - showed nothing much. GP suggested bursitus.
Decided on a second opinion, went to a sports medical specalist (Sportsmed in Aust)and got an mri - showed a pretty obvious tear - a posterior anterior labral tear, with possible associated cyst.

Went under the arthroscope yesterday and had a labral debridement. No pins or anchors needed. The surgeon said the tear was bigger than he expected, but no cyst.
He said the surgery was simple and I should get full mobility and strength back.
I’ve just started taking my arm out of the sling and started on some very minor movement (one finger left handed typing for a while).

Has anyone had a similar operation (note this is not a SLAP tear) and how long did it take to recover, and did you get full rom and strength back and over how long?
Also I’ve been given some basic physio excersises - are there any movement you’d recomend to speed recovery?

thx
