Supraspinatus Tendonitis Rehab / Lower Trap Strengthening

I do a lot of pressing exercises (bench, push presses, etc), and I’ve been getting recurring aches in my right shoulder. It’s never triggered by the workout itself, but flares up in the days following just doing everyday activities. My physio diagnosed it as early supraspinatus tendonitis, and said that a.) my lower traps were underdeveloped and b.) strengthening them will change the position of my scapula in such a way that the channel the supraspinatus tendon travels through will be expanded, reducing symptoms.

She gave me a bunch of lower trap exercises and her advice aligns with much of what I’ve seen posted on youtube by physios and ATs. Has anyone here had similar tendonitis to this that was remedied by strengthening the lower traps?

Thanks
