Supplement Shop in South Austin?

Hey T-Nation – anybody from the Austin area know of a good affordable supplement shop on the south side? Now to be fair I do buy a crap load of Biotest and prefer it over anything, but sometimes in a pinch I like to hit up local…any help would be great!

and yes I did Google it but some lame spots popped up and I thought I would hit up my knowledgeable peers.

Thanks.

Just get your stuff online for God’s sake! I’ve spent enough $ supporting the local shop when I was younger and dumber. Although I still consider myself relatively young and dumb (and probably always will), I’m smart enough not to buy from brick and mortar any more. With Biotest’s (currently) free (and fast!!!) shipping, I don’t know how you can make excuses.

You just have to plan ahead, and not having protein or fat loss pills, etc for a few days will not make a difference in anything but your pocket book (that is if the alternative is that you buy from a local place that gouges you in the interim period).

What’s with that shit. He didn’t ask for your advice on his life choices.

I’m in Austin, and I do most of my shopping online. I heard they opened a Nutrishop like a year or so ago I think somewhere in South Austin, so maybe check that out.

I live in South Austin. I buy all my stuff online too. There is a Nutrishop open now in South Austin, I think on Brodie. The Smoothie Factory by the Gold’s on William Cannon sells most of the supplement type stuff you’d probably be looking for. Those two are local, and you’ll undoubtably be able to find a GNC or something like that. I agree with the BulletProofTiger, just plan ahead and order online, it makes everything less stressful.

Or you can search yelp.com if you want local. http://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=supplement#find_desc=supplement%20protein

Thanks ya’ll! Did that sound Texas enough for ya?

I get the online thing, I assure you I have been buying online longer than any of you fools (not derogatory) I just moved here and don’t have an established place until the wife and kids get here…and I ran out of grow…so I was just looking for something in the gap…I always have some on hand but the move from LA to TX has taken a bit longer than I anticipated.

Thanks for the…ahem…help - thanks sbr for having my back. In LA I shopped at N101 in a pinch which was actually reasonable since they had an online presence. Just seeing if that exists here…thanks again in advance.

I’m impressed at your 2 posts a year average.

Yes, the new Nutrishop is on Brodie, close to Academy. Actually, there is a GNC on the other side of Brodie, and one in Barton Creek Mall. Smoothie Factory is next to the Gold’s Gym on William Cannon - have bought Hot Roxx there when the site is out of stock, but its been forever since I’ve been in, so I don’t know if they still carry it.

Sprouts grocery store sells Carlson brand vitamin D (recommended on vit D thread) super cheap & Central Market, a local (badass) grocery store has a good house brand for stuff Biotest doesn’t sell, like acetyl l-carnitine, glucosamine, etc.

Just FYI, my Biotest supps usually arrive in Austin 24 to 48 hours after I order, which is superfast, IMO.

Welcome to Texas - go swimming in Barton Springs!

Also go to Salt Lick in Driftwood and get yourself the all-you-can-eat platter. If you like Texas barbeque and/or the feeling of being in heaven, you need to go.
