Supplement Intake

I weight 170lbs
Stand 5’11 tall

I am 31 years of age
I use to train but starting a family made me stop for a few years. Now I’m back at it.

My goal is to built muscle and reach weight around or over 200lbs

The Supplements I take are:

Gold Standard Whey 24g of protein and 5.5g of BCAAs - I take 2 scoops everyday to complete my daily protein intake. I train 4 times a week for 30-45 minutes.

I was told I should take Super Amino 3000 so I did go and Buy Body Fortress Super Amino 3000
Is this beneficial to building muscle and used along side with Gold Standard Whey which already has BCAAs??
I was told to take 2 tablets after workout so that is what I’m doing.

Also for supplements
I take Fish Oils
Magnesium
Brewer’s Yeast

What’s your nutrition look like?
supps don’t look bad, but why the brewer’s yeast?

If your goal is to build muscle no need for lots of sups and aminos, stick with your nutrition. I heard great thing here about the Rez-V + Alpha Male stack…

Brewers Yeast is a good source of protein, B vitamins, and minerals. Brewers Yeast improves digestion and overall fitness.

Research shows that chromium is an essential part of our diet. It enhances insulin’s effect in the body, improving the uptake of glucose, thereby causing better blood circulation and maintenance of blood sugar level.

Gaining energy, burning fat, and building muscle with greater ease are attributed to chromium. Lowering body fat and increasing lean body mass are just a few of the positive properties that chromium exhibits on the body.

My nutrition is good but like most I don’t get enough so that is why I use protein shakes and amino acids.

I do eat heathy though. I do not eat any processed foods. All of the meat I eat is CO.
Turkey
Fish
Chicken
Beans
Eggs
Bison
Ostrich meat
Brown rice
Fruits and vegetables
in a day I take 48g of whey protein and the rest is from quality foods. total = 170G of protein. I eat 6 meals a day with 20g of protein each meal. I guess i could get more protein from food and only have one scoop of 24g of whey? Probably would be better? or is it ok how it is now?

So should I be taking the Super Amino 3000 if te Standard Gold Whey already has 5.5g of amino acids?

5.5 really is’nt that much, considering that any where from 20-40 is reccomended peri-workout. If you have the money then go for it, but do some comparitive shopping first to see if yuo can find better brands.

Your diet looks pretty good but I would bump the protein content up some more, keep the lifting frequency up and have have some patience, thats all you really need.

Also should I be taking Amino acids on my days off?

I’m a tradesman so i work hard and sometimes or lift heavy stuff. Would it be recommended to take 2 tablets after work and 2 after workout? Right now I take 2 tablets a day.

Also what brand would you recommnend besides Body Fortress? I live near Popeye’s and not sure what brands they carry.

keep your protien and amino acid intake the same on all days; or higher on/around workouts.

protien intake should be around 1-2g/lb of bodyweight…more is better (to a point obviously)
