Yeah it was definitely hard giving it up ![]()
I guess my lack of results do make a lot of sense if I reflect back on how much fast-food diet I had and also not tracking macros, I was definitely probably going way over. Took “eat big to get big” a little too seriously.
Yeah, if you’re going to eat pizza, at least eat good pizza.
Contrary to popular opinion, Pizza Hut is my favorite Pizza.
Have tried many, always end up at Pizza Hut.
Not my favorite, but I wouldn’t call it crap either. It is solid IMO, but pizza is pretty subjective lol. I’ve for sure had a lot worse than Pizza Hut. The fatty in me would like it better if it came with that garlic butter Papa Johns has. First I dab my pizza with napkins cause I ain’t a savage, and I don’t need all those calories, then I dump the garlic butter all over the pizza and especially the crust.
Just reading the last 2 sentences gave me massive painful flashbacks. Yikes ![]()
I make my own pizza each week.
Low cal vegan crust. Turkey pepperoni. fat-free mozzarella cheese. sugar-free low cal pizza sauce.
warm slices of disappointment, but it’s a large pizza with less than 500 calories for all of it.
For crust, I have just used low carb tortillas. Works pretty well IMO. You need to cook them a bit before you apply the sauce or toppings. Otherwise it is not very crispy. I just found the pre made crusts to be meh, and they were fairly expensive. I can get 20 low carb tortillas for the price of one of those healthy crusts.
For the record, I don’t do the garlic butter thing I mentioned lol. I do like dipping the crust in the butter though.
Pizza hut is the only one that has cheesy crust tho ![]()
Pizza hut +1
To be honest, its not the pizza thats the problem, its the aftermath.
I don’t know why, but the traditional “junk” foods (even though people claim there isnt such a thing as junk food) always made me just feel pretty low-energy afterwards, even if it fit the macros. There’s just something about clean foods, or maybe its just placebo.
I’m still trying to draw the fine line between possible in my diet vs feeling like shit again. Right now its an absolute battle getting 2500 calories because my food is dry af.
Lol, don’t remind me of that please. I got that every order almost.

shit, this was supposed to be a GIF. how to we reply with GIFs?
Cinematic gold with that scene.
I appreciate the donut one with the nipple clamps and shock button as well
“At Globo Gym, we’re better than you! And we know it.”
Hot sauce and Sriracha all the way. I also pickle my own jalapenos and pour the liquid over stuff to moisten it up and give it a bite. I also just drink the pickling juice because it tastes amazing.
I am using a Kimchi hot sauce, also 0 calories but by god does it taste good.
What do you think about eating 300-400g of this in a day?
I am taking some caution since it doesn’t sound clean but jesus I’m having a lot of trouble getting 2500 calories otherwise? If not this, any other good clean food suggestions?
umm im not sure what ‘clean’ food means to you, but to me (and many others) it means that if you leave it out of refridgeration and packaging for more than 3 days - it will go bad.
Those potato wedges are carb dense and probably not very filling either. Regular potatoes are pretty low carb density and filling - they call this a “satiety index” basically meaning you can feel more full with less food.

I know you’re not running IIFYM, but are you counting your macros at least?
I eat trace amounts of carbs, so I have no idea. Carbs make me.feel like crap and bloat me like crazy.
In my case, beef, nut butters, avocados, leafy greens, eggs and some seafood make up 95% of what I eat. When I’m trying to add calories in I go straight for the fattiest stuff. Ribeyes and tons of avocados and peanut butter.
Yes 100%
2500 calories right now aiming:
200-210g protein
200-220g carbs
80-90g fat
I am tracking it all in MFP.
Weigh-ins have surprisingly been very stable (78.5kg 173lb) so keeping it at this now and seeing if my bench improves.
Ah I see, due to religious reasons, the only meat I consume is chicken and eggs.
Nut butters is a good idea to get more calories in.
My main concern is just “clean” food, I guess this means something not deep-fried, not highly bad-fats (like melted cheese) and just something where I dont feel bad afterwards lol.
One example is the pic of the meal I posted ysterday. Its like wild rice (boiled), beans (boiled) and 2 grilled chicken breasts.
Its too filling and doesnt make me feel “yuck” in some sense compared to fried food (like those wedges to an extent).
Dude I have been craving Pizza Hut a lot. I’m tempted to download grubhub just to get it delivered to me.
