Sumos vs. Bodybuilders

TC actually wrote an article about eating “chanko style” a few years back:

I was thinking of doing this a while back until I started upping my calories by introducing 1 or 2 pizzas a week post-workout in order to keep bulking.

Not only does it not surprise me that Sumos have more muscle mass, but I’d assume that in general they’re a lot healthier than body-builders, too.

Any thoughts?

I dunno. The extra weight might be a bit hard on the ol’ ticker.

I think it depends on what you mean by bodybuilders. The health concerns are usually related to steroid/GH use and the extreme bulking/cutting that is necessary to compete. For those people who don’t compete, who train regularly for asthetic purposes and whose diets are much cleaner than the average American, I would venture to say that they are among the healthiest.

fat guys carry all thier weight around for like what? all thier life?
if you train all your life sure you can get a 500 squat youd prolly eat much more too.
