Sudden Pain in the Neck

Hello. This is my first post, thou I’ve been following this site for a while.

Anyways, the other day I was finish my workout with some EZ curls and on the very last rep, where I admitted was using a little body english, something snapped in my neck.

Its not the traps, more like the muscles right beneath my skull. Now everytime I workout / do any sort of serious acitivty, I get the worst pain in the neck spreading to my head, and its like the neck muscles cramps up. What might have happened and what do I do from here, besides visiting my doctor?

Any advice/help is much appriciated, thanks.

Happens to me every once in a while. Be ginger with it. Do some foam rolling / tennis ball presses against a wall. It’ll heal up. Just don’t go doing shrugs or something like that unless it feels better, obviously.
