I’ve had pretty bad insomnia for about 3.5-4 years now so it really depends. If I get 4-5 I am very very happy.

Up at 4 and driving by 5 and training went until 7 shit day. But did get 5 mi of walking in. That is all unless there are some questions.

Upper body today

Morning

Machine press 4x8-10
Wide neutral row. 4x10-12

Very low incline band bench. 5x6
Pulldown. 4x10-12

Power fly/Hs incline press. 3x12/8
Pull-up. 2x12

Lateral raise. 2x10/8/6 1x15/10
Rear delt 3x20

Tri 4x10

Afternoon

Deads 135x12 225x10 315x10 365x8x2

Cable lean shrug/bb shrug/DB shrug. 3x14/15/10

Lateral machine. 2x20

Tri 2x10/10

Did two workouts. One before training and the next after It was done and I drove home and mre my gf. Was fun. Liked both. Everything felt ok other than my lower back so that’s why Deads didn’t go on very long. Other than that I am decently happy.

Got ok sleep last night. That’s two in a row. Very cool

Legs. Was rushed so had to shorten it a bit may try and pick up some extra after work

Leg curls 150x8 170x8, 8 30s rest 150x7 30s rest 130x7

Front squat. 135x10 185x8 225x8 245x8 265x7, 6 245x6

Squat press. 5pps x20 6x15,15

Low back was torched and I didn’t have time for it to feel better so I am hoping to get back in and tack a couple more sets on. But I guess 13 work sets aren’t too bad. Last week of this rotation I am ready to be done. I want it over and I want to move on. I have been done with this one for a while.

Some sleep but not a ton. I did get some extra cleans done yesterday but back was still sore

Incline Hs with monster mini/fly machine. 3x10/14

Decent workout. Ran out of time for tris. But felt decent strength was ok until the last set then solid stretch and burn type stuff after. Shoulder stuff was very good. Had shoulders feeling toasted.

Decent amount of sleep last night. But that means my alarm and getting up actually sucks. Normally I’m half out of bed before the alarm.

Back today pump

Smith row. +50x20 +75x12 +100x8x3 working a deep stretch on these

Wide Pulldown/cable pullover/band kneeling Pulldown/cable pullover. 3x12/12/8/8

Neutral reverse Pulldown/cable pullover medium neutral row. 2x12/15/12

Shrug 1 triple drop set

Bi. 6x8-15

Decent workout. Back was crushed top to bottom. Those giant sets are brutal. Left my back so fried. Felt really good. Trying to keep my low back happy since legs are on tomorrow’s agenda. No surgery but 24hr call today. Off tomorrow. Test Friday and moving back to my original location.

I wonder what will happen when you get 8 hours.

Last true day though I still have call till 630 tomorrow morning. Had lunch break at 130 and 15 min into I was paged for a delivery got that done and then got snagged to scrub and first assist on an urgent c section for a baby that was intolerant to labor. So got to first assist on it. Crazy stuff.

No work today. Sweet up at 5 no sleep. Tossed and turned. Couldn’t get comfy oh well

Got 5mi of walking. 15min elyptical. Stretching and a couple quick sets of abs in this morning. Meeting a friend to train this afternoon. Now packing all my stuff to be ready to leave and move after my test tomorrow morning.

I think gregron had a similar issue with insomnia. I mean both of you guys are still jacked so I guess you’re overcoming it lol, but still, would be nice to get solid rest to match your training and diet I’m sure.

I would kill so mnay people and do terrible things to be able to sleep like my gf. She falls asleep almost in the middle of a sentence once she decides she’s going to sleep.

Leg pump week 6

Front squat. 3s pause at bottom. 135x6x2. Normal 225x8x5 185x18

Back squat into dbl mini. 225x10x3. 3s pause at bottom. 5x5. Holy hell my legs were fried. And my TFL was very mad again

Leg ext. 2x30.

That’s it. Not much I know but really wanted to work on depth and form. Done in 45 so had a good pace. Legs are wrecked. More sore 2 hrs post workout than higher volume days. My stairs are quite a bitch right now. Food I am trying to empty the fridge and freezer so I have to carry less around tomorrow. I like this task

Sleep was pretty bad again. This flare up needs to go away. Hopefully the weekend with the gf will help up at 4 since I couldn’t stand laying there anymore. Test at 9. Intense intense doms from the workout yesterday. My god. Legs are in pain. Glute ham tie in. Whole quad. TFL. Jeezus.

Chest pump week 6

DB incline 20*-30*: 50x10 60x10 75x10 90x10 100x10, 9 drop 75x8 dead

Hs incline/low incline power fly/machine fly. 3x12/10/10

Last set did cable fly then press instead of machine fly. 1x10/12/12+5

Stretch push ups 1’set much stretch

Lateral machine. 3 double drop sets

Rear destroyer. 50, 30, 15

Tri 3 double drop sets couldn’t move arms now

Good workout chest felt great good stretching and decent contractions. Wasn’t feeling incline pressing too much so cut it a bit shorter. The giant sets felt good. I love working lateral delts. All was done in an hour counting warmups and what not. 1hr walking and 25 elyptical to loosen up.

I envy you and all your damn Korean food. I miss dating an Asian :(.

How was the chicken made/prepared? I can’t tell if it was fried or grilled. I see what looks like garlic, and maybe a soy-sauce based marinade, but that’s just guessing.

I get plenty of home cooked Chinese food (which is nothing like restaurant food), and I know a bit about Japanese and Thai cooking, but I have no clue with Korean food.

It is grilled marinaded over night. Gochujang. Garlic. Ginger. Onion. Soy sauce. Dash of sesame oil. Pretty simple and kind of a base for many recipes. Minus gochujang which adds amazing spice.
