Back. Now I’m yellow
Legs Labor Day.
Leg curls. 30, 20, 17, 12, 9, 8 30 and 20 were warm ups
Squat. 135x6, 225x6 275x6 315x6 345x6 365x4x2 315x8
Leg ext. 35, 30, 28. Death
DB SDL 100x 20, 17, 15
Squat press 5pps x25, 20
Done. Good workout. Squats felt ok. A bit shaky but depth and what not were nice. Mobility felt good which was mind blowing because I’ve terrible about mobility work recently. Everything else was fine. Foot was sore but whatever. Back to normal morning workouts tomorrow. Not happy about that after 3 amazing days of sleeping in. Well laying in. Gf slept. I laid there.
Upper pressing this morning.
15* DB press no lockout. 50x20 65x15 80x10 100x9, 9 90x10
Face pull. 4x25-30
Very low incline bench no lockout. 185x6. 205x6 215x6. 225x5 drop 185x6. Speed was the focus here
Hs incline. 2pps x10, 10, 10, 9 honestly favorite chest movment. These move up and inward for the perfect contraction.
Fly. 2x12
Lateral. 4x10/10. Did a drop set each time. 10 on first 8-10’on next
Tri 4x20
Done. Good workout. Filling back out and actually not dyel. Surgery this morning. No idea on afternoon
Was able to sneak some extra walking in today. Devoured some ice cream and load of bread. And some amazing chicken and eggs. Got literally no sleep last night so hoping to snag at least a couple hours tonight before 430 comes back
No scale at the house so I have to go off the gym one. Not my fav since variables are then not controlled. But oh well said I was 213 ish. Pre ER with the start of the GI bug and bloated I was 218 and felt horrible. So i will take the less bloat but fuller look but weighing less weight doesn’t mean shit really as long as you look like you progress and measurements keep moving. Anyways.
Pull work
Wide Pulldown. 20, 15, 12, 9, 9, 8, 10
Medium neutral cable row. 12, 11, 9, 9, 12
Reverse medium neutral Pulldown. 12, 15, 14, 13
Rope overhand cable row/shrug 3 s at top. 2x10/10
Curls. 6x15-20
Good workout. Back felt nice. Was sore before but always warms up nice. Everything had a great Mmc nothing stupidly heavy but making sure to not lose That Mmc and push weight. Which means for me I can’t really go below 8 reps then my arms decide to do to much. C section and oorectomy this morning.
Got to close half a fascial portion of c section and the whole close on the surface luckily the buried stitch turned out good and the edges came together even and not folded or offset. So her scar should be minimal. Lucky since no one has taught me lol. First time for evening. Slow and clumsy though.
Here is a tasty chicken meal. For giggles. Hoping to get more than 1 hr of sleep which is all I’ve gotten the last two nights combined. Need to catch up before I am on call all damn weekend.

Lol I know right. It was too tall. It was already attempting to escapè
Well not a ton of sleep but I will take 2 hrs lol. Damn insomnia better shape up
Legs pump day week 3
Leg curl/sld: 2x20/15 warmup. 4x12/12 work
Leg ext/squat press. 4x30-40s/8(3s neg) this was just brutal. Timed sets and slow negs no fun
Smith lunge/squat press low and close/sld: 2x10/20/10. Toasted.
Well that was nasty. I guess it actually doesn’t look bad. Guess I am a wimp. Moved through this in 50min. Elyptical and walk. C section this morning and boring clinic in the afternoon. Which I didn’t think would get boring but it is. It’s the same each day with maybe one interesting case if I am lucky. Literally carbon copies patient after patient.
Yesterday afternoon went back and met a friend who was doing Deads. He is working in technique so I figured why not.
Power clean. 135x6x3 185x4
Power dead 224x5x2
Dead 315x8x2
So just quick dirty and not much really but worked on form and exploding and full extensions. All things I suck at other than explosiveness. But explosiveness in the correct plane and movment pattern is tougher for me.
Ate a retard amount of food. I will be on call all weekend. Yeah fun
Was gonna sleep in until 5 but 430 came and I was awake so figured might as well get up and go. One surgery this morning then the morning is mine so I will come back and walk after.
Pressing pump day. Week 3
High to low cable X/very low wide incline bench/ 30* fly/ Machine neutral press: 4x12/8/10/10
Monster mini Hs incline. 4x10-12
Rear delt. 2x50/30. 2x25/12
Lateral. 3x15/30
Tri one Tri set and 2 supersets.
Good workout. Chest was quite pumped and felt good. Really just forcing my chest to do all the work the best I can. It’s coming. Growing little by little god it’s taken so long. Shoulders were brutal and nice and sore. In surgery if I have to reach across my body too much I know I will cramp and die. It’s happened a couple times. Sucks.
Decided when I went back in to walk I’d do a bit more shoulder
Just did some presses.
Bb press slight leg drive sometimes. 135x10-8x5
1 arm DB press 50x12x3
That’s it. 1 hr of easy walking. Not sure what food will be like today or the next couple days. Same with workouts. As long as it’s a slow weekend I should be fine
Didn’t get a call last night. Got up at 6 to make sure I didn’t get a call that would mess up my workout today.
Back bi
Pull-up wide. Bw x 14, +20x7, +25x7, 6
Medium neutral Pulldown/rack pull. Mid shin: 2x12/6. Low back wasn’t feeling it
Smith row/reverse neutral Pulldown/pullover/band high row: 3x10/10/10/10
Lean back cable row/shrug: 3x12/12 3 s peak hold
Bi 6x15-20
Good workout other than my lower back feeling pretty smoked and not allowing me to move some weight on rack pulls but oh well. Back was feeling nice and full and then did a weighted hang to really stretch out.
Words cannot express how much I loathed my Ob/Gyn rotation. It was exhausting, and the residents were malignant and CRAZY–a tough combo to deal with. Have to say I learned a lot, though. Also got to deliver 12 babies, which was fun.
Where I work now, the Ob/Gyn OR is directly across the surgery core from the Eye room, and the scrub sink I use is in front of a window looking into the OB/Gyn room, so I get to watch the Ob/Gyns operate while I scrub. Every time I do so, I thank God for the specialization of medicine, and that there are people in this world willing to do Ob/Gyn.
My senior year, I ran into one of the Ob/Gyn attendings in the hall, and he cordially asked what field I was going into. When I said Ophthalmology, he responded with an involuntary look of mild disgust, and said ‘Well, I guess if you don’t mind looking at EYES all day.’ True story.

I’m very lucky all these docs are very nice and no residents are here just me and them. So lots of one on one and really just kinda throwing me into stuff. Had never scrubbed into surgery and the first day they had me closing a bit lol. Depends on which doc I am with as well. You’ve landed in the speciality that’s at the top of my intrest list. Very cool field. Very. Interesting and looks amazingly rewarding

I suppose I’m a bit biased, but I concur 100%.

I would question the field and or your choice if you didn’t ![]()
No calls last night again cool
Woke up early to get activity in again in case of calls. Elyptical. Walk and a couple bike sprints. Might come back and do arms and light shoulders. We will see how the day goes. Made some delicious chicken yesterday. Premade Asian marinade dumped on some chicken breasts baked for 30min done. Perfect. Juicy and moist falls apart. Got some tilapia as well. And …
