“training forearms hard before heavy bicep training”

that advice actually helped me a lot. For as long as I’ve been training, I got really bad wrist pain doing any type of supinated curl, even with a light weight.
A few years ago I read X’s thread and did ask him for details about how he fixed his problem, but he responded by telling me to preacher curl 135 lbs and bulk up so my tendons would grow lol. What does help me is doing something like hammer, pinwheel, or reverse curls first. I don’t know if it’s a preexhaust per se or just a good warmup, but it has allowed my biceps to finally start growing in the past few months.

That’s not bad advise, at all.
It helped me add size to my biceps even after an injury.
I think we have learned by now that the guys complaining about the “bad advice from big guys” are usually the least likely to ever be considered “big” themselves.
LOL @ NikH laughing at advice that could help him and others.

I swear this is most of these guys lately. Passive aggressive is now the in thing to be. You can throw stones and hide your hands over the internet. No manhood needed.
Honestly, I never got stupid advise from big dudes. I would get it from little, unmuscular dudes who looked worse than me and have been training for 2 months. Which always drives me nuts.
I would usually just thank them and move on. There’s no point arguing with people.
My favorite criticism, “You’re lifting to heavy”
The same is happening on this board…in this thread.

I would hazard a guess at the fact that they’re illegal.
Derp.
Not to mention how the hell am I the biggest lobbyist when all I ever discuss is medical use not being threatened with law enforcement?
I swear…there seems to be a completely different lens that some of these people see through.
One time on a forum, this huge black dude, doctor or dentist or something, gave some advice about eating enough to gain weight, and lift heavy and often and progressively heavier. Said you have to find the rep range(s) that work for you and to train intuitively and not just blindly follow some cookie cut routine. Said pay attention to what works.
Said something about maybe not worry so much about losing abs temporarily if your goal is make the quickest gains in size or strength.
He said something about taking fat gains to a level that your comfortable with to meet the goal, then putting the breaks on and holding the weight for sometime, then slowing leaning out versus a crash diet.
Like a dumbass, I listened to all that bullshit, and all it did was swole me up and add over 5" to my arms. WTF am I gonna do with these big ass shoulders now?

Where did this happen? I was coaching a high school powerlifting meet in Hattiesburg, MS last year, and the guys on one of the teams would yell that at each other before a lift. First (and last) time I have ever heard that.

You’ve never heard of Big Ron A.K.A. Ronnie Coleman?

Yes, I’m secretly in love with him. I’m one of those muscle bear lovers. Is it really that obvious?
I thought with this thread I could actually turn something pointless & boring into something fun for everyone that is not about him.

Lol, after 10 years and like 50000 posts, X finally has earned himself an e-stalker.
I’m wondering what the over/under should be set at on “number of people who mention infinite_shore’s strange preoccupation before i_s seeks therapy.” Part of me says 3.5, while the other discourages the other half from joking about something that may be serious.
oh yeah, advice. had a guy that was hugh from the waist up with toothpick legs tell me “don’t ever get close to 90 degrees on your squat cause if you go past 90 you’ll blow out your knees”

Was told not to lift my traps directly. The swole dude told me I get enough of a trap workout picking up weights and putting them back on the rack. And yes, he had big traps.
