Strongwomen Comp Mini Documentary

I’m kind of new here. I’m a documentary filmmaker working mostly in the world of bodybuilding. I have a short video that I think this sub-forum would find interesting. It’s one of my favorites, about a first timer at a strongwoman competition a few years ago.

That looks fun. I hadn’t appreciated just how big those axles are. Very impressed.

I need to do one of those comps one day!
Thanks for posting that!

Great video. I got my first little taste of strongman training last week and loved it. I’m definitely going to have to do a competition someday too.

Hey, this is the gym I go to!

I just posted a link to Iron Sport Gym in Grneyes’s thread, yesterday…

Cool video, Mike.

cool vid

Awesome video!! I would love to do a strong(wo)man comp some day. Wish I knew of a gym that had that type of equipment to train with around here…

It’s so cool seeing all those men totally into those women lifting heavy things! Congrats to all four of those women for doing that competition!

Walking into that gym was very intimidating (for a newbie)! I kind of wimped out and did mostly cardio that day.

Awesome!!!

Whoa, awesome! Thanks for the link!

Fantastic Video! Women with muscle “are the new black”! My day is not complete unless several people stare at me as they pass.

Strong people are much harder to kill than weak people, and more useful in general.

Curious to know, and I hear it all the time, but what does “the new black” actually mean? In reference to what? Somebody please hip me to this.

“_____ is the new black” is a catch phrase used to indicate the sudden popularity or versatility of an idea at the expense of the popularity of a second idea. From Wikipedia.
I was making a flippant attempt to mock the societal norms that weak and helpless woman are what is most desirable. I WISH women were valued for their strength and intelligence and not looked at as something freakish.

Those women are really bad ass. The blonde is crazy strong. I love women that are strong and also still look like women, which all of those women do. I am a strong women and also still look like a women. It is easy to do a bunch of steroids and be huge and strong, but these women seem like it has been years and years of hard work that had made them that strong. Way to go ladies, they ARE Real Women!!!
