Would love to see some interviews or training logs if possible, just to get an idea of their progression and see what they do for training. Lots of examples of elite 200+ lifters here, but the small guys are usually left out.
That is me in Afghanistan about 2 weeks ago. I am sitting at 155 and haven’t been really able to compete since high school because of this Army shit.
Looks like you’re lifting with Gorbachev’s old weight plates out there at the FOB.
Yeah we have to do the best we could with what we had. It was a JCOP so not like they wanted to spend any money on us. I had to steal some chalk from a camp when we stopped there so I could DL heavy too. My squat looks like shit because the camera man didn’t know what he was doing.

With all that rust each one of those is probably 20lbs more than listed. That’s impressive man.

Yeah good work T11… those are some impressive lifts, especially your bench press.
Thanks guys. We ended up weighing the octogan shape plates before we left to see how much it really did weight and it was 3 pounds more each. Me and him were like wtf, damn leaky tent.

Whats a good bench for drugfree 150 lbs lifter?
I hit 325 for 2 sets of 1 in the gym a couple of months back when I weighed in around 145. I think a 2x bodyweight bench is considered pretty strong for us in this weight range

Nice! Was it paused? Did you use any equipment? :)
I have never trained nor even tried any sort of equipment other than my Inzer belt I use when deadlifting and squatting. I have my personal views on geared lifting but also respect those that do but due to personal preferences, I don’t use gear. I’ve hit 315 paused but the 325 was touch and go. I’ll try it again today in the gym and try to get a video and post it here, my last video was of 315. As far as my other lifts, I’ve gotten 405 on squat in the gym and pulled officially at Night of the Living Dead a 485 deadlift, and got 512.5 half way. The next week I got 510 in the gym. when this semester starts to wind down I’ll start to get into some competitions but I have plenty of time, I’m only 21. As of this morning I’m 144.7 bw. Sorry about the rambling, got ahead of myself. It’s just that you don’t get a lot of threads dedicated to us lightweights haha
There’s also Vashon Perryman, not sure if hes got a log or anything though.
If you want you can follow my training. I’m a light 165er in USAPL, recently benched 345 and pulled 556. I log on a blog format over at brandongoris.co.cc/blog
