Strength Skill Circuit 5th Day Adjustment

Hi CT,
Been running your Strength Skill Circuit for 6 weeks now which I have been progressing well with & enjoying. For a fifth day I have been running the Manual Labour Day from your Russian Strength Skill program which I haven’t really responded to well.

I want to keep the fifth day in to work on my poor lifts so I can train/practice them 3x a week (Bench Press & Squat). To enable a 3rd practice day for these lifts I was thinking of instead of the Manual Labour Day (20-30 singles at 65-70%), I would concentrate on using a weight of 80% as ‘this is the percentage where power and strength are developed equally and thus it will have a greater transfer toward maximum strength gains for the raw lifter’. Using a protocol of something like 5 x 2 or 3-4 x AMAP (staying away from failure), or a protocol you find more appropriate.

This change seem applicable to implement, & if so, what protocol would be best to use?
