I am getting to the end of a big weight cut. I am curently down to 235 and 17% bf from 315 37% bf. It has been about two years and i still seem to have loose skin. I dont look like I have 17% bf when you look at my chest and belly. I have many stretch marks so I have that to the disadvantage but I was wondering if any one else had to get passed this point and how long it took for you skin to come up?
Hate to be the one to tell you this but chances are your skin won’t go back to “normal” and the only real option is going to be surgery to get the excess skin removed. SSC had a good thread in the T-Cell about this very topic (you could try the search function but I really have no faith in that feature here anymore).
Google “excess skin site:tnation.tmuscle.com”
I was thinking of cycling to get bigger and force the skin up.
Cycling what? Carbs? A bicycle?

lmao! he might be talking about ph
op, try the anaconda dosing before you cycle and just go lean and clean in a natty bulk.
In 2008 I lost 86lbs from 300 to 214, looked like shit, lots of excess gut skin, it never really went away. I’m in the process of building some muscle to help off set the sag. To answer your question, it depends on how old you are, home much elastin(I believe it is) your skin has. Worse case you have surgery or just deal with it best case you fill it with muscle.
Congrats on the hard work.

That is what I was thinking of doing. I want to get down to 10% then start a bulking stage.

Carb cycling is a good idea. Have at it. Work hard and good luck.
If you keep your body fat levels low (below ten percent) over a period of a year or two your loose skin should tighten up at least a little. It depends on how young you are and how long you were overweight for and a number of other factors I’m sure. I went from 5’6" at 278 lbs 50+% BF to 5’8" 160 lbs and 7.8% over the period of 4 years. I actually just entered single digit body fat for the first time in the past 3 months. I still have problems with loose skin all over my body, especially in my stomach as well. I’m just going to hope it’ll tighten up over time, I don’t really think cosmetic surgery is worth it yet (I’m only 22). I’d say get as low as you can BF wise and try and gain some lean mass after and go from there. Hell, it took years to get like we did…you have to expect it’ll take years to repair the damage.
Chris Shugart says that he still has some loose skin from his bigger days. I think it is a tough battle there.

Yeah, he was apparently a fatty in college.

Nice work on the cut man. Yeah I don’t want to spend the money on surgery. Like you said it took time to get that big in the first place so it will take time to return to normal.

From what I understand, everyone is a fatty to that particular author unless under 170lbs with abs.
While yes he tends to favor the smaller side, my point was that he has been lean for a long time and still has excess skin.

Well gee, my point to you is I doubt he was that damn big.

I appreciate that…but I am doing better than that now.
I wish I still had access to a machine like that though.
