I did a 4.2 mile 60lb ruck in about 2 hours.
It sucked.
I did 100 push-ups
A shot ton of bpas.
And a bunch of mobility/ pvc pipe lx ball
Mostly for my thoracic - and trying to loosing this neck.
a week ago DR asked me about the pain - and I said when I look up and open my mouth I see stars.
She was like uhm - that’s pretty good.
It’ hurts less. Ow but literally can’t turn it side to side - very little mobility.
Can you incorporate some band training? I used to poo-poo the damn things, but they’re incredibly useful and versatile. They’re ain’t a damn thing you can’t do with them, and they allow you to make micro-adjustments on the fly so as to not cause joint ouchies.
I don’t know if this is something you’re interested in, but they have a specialist on the site who is looking at movement videos to try to help with pain:
MRI was pretty revealing - C3 C4 have all the goo squeezed out
I have a good bit of arthritis- in C3-C5 and Dr- was very curious about my neck.
we discussed injuries old and new and she very curious about my work .
I explained that I live in
cervical extension ( looking up ) vs flexion ( looking down)
We spoke risk reward - and went the PT route
the other option was a series of epidurals with no known results.
just as PT started I did something to my fucked knee - and hip.
that was a well over 6 weeks ago and its just now returning.
somehow I know have bone on bone on my hip - go figure.
work- always work
its back to 75 percent television on location - and 25 percent concerts.
but I get all I can .
did a 60 hour work week - and now doing three day run of concerts.
put I did manage 100- 140 pull-ups daily for 5 days.
a shit ton of band work -
BPA TKE and banded push downs - face pulls etc.
Ive just been about to do kb swings- as my hp is kinda fucked.
this m morning did 5x10 judo pushups and 5x10 swings with just a 25lb
and I did a kb complex same as always.
will try to ramp up some kind of training- and get some more constant work in.
Right about then is when the phrase “What was I thinking” pops in your head. Yeah, back in the days when we were all 10 ft tall and bulletproof. 140 pull ups a day is still very respectable.
Yeah being broken kinda sucks but I’m still alive.
Today I did 100 push-ups and a shit ton of mobility work
Yesterday and most days I got 8x15 pull-ups
And some band work
Last was the last set of 15.
I was doing 10x10 some days it’s 8 of 15
You can see my arms don’t straiten all the way -
And it was pink pants Friday
