Figured that I’ve owned this account and been creeping long enough that I should do something about it. Kind of like paying cover charge.
Short form stats: 20 years of training, longest consecutive time off: 2 weeks. Competitive (depending on your definition) highland games athlete. I’ve done some olifting and strongman too, but I was awful at both. I’m less awful at highland games.
In my tenure, I’ve gone from a whopping 182 to 265 and now I’m pretty much settled in at 220-240 depending on how neurotic I get on either side.
Despite training for 2 decades, there’s only about a 7 minute window where I look like I lift weights. The rest of the time I only look like I know what the inside of a gym looks like because I go in after hours and clean it.
I have damaged enough of my body that I “try” to train smart but I’m still male and therefore just not so bright. Doing a bastardized up 531 mostly right now because I just don’t have the time or inclination to think right now. Oh and I mix and match kilos and pounds. Sorry. It’s a Canadian thing.
Here’s the last two:

Sunday, Feb 12/12
Went out for some schooners last night. Tasty. Had an opportunity today. Took it.
Dirty Cheater Bench Squats
70kgx3
100x3
120x3
140x3
150x3
170x3 - was supposed to be 160 but the 5kg plates were WAY on the other side of the platform and the 10s were RIGHT THERE.
Backoff week. Which is good because I’m never a huge fan of the 5am squat workout. But the schedule this week has been messed up and you just don’t miss squat day.

That creepy old man from the theatre still haunts me.
