yeah… i’ve been starve’n for awhile. time get my woddle back. wanna take a run at the alltime top 50 in the 275 class. if i can break into the 530’s or so i could get in the all time top 30’s.

deads- i was very interested to see how the hand would hold up for pulls. i figured that if it got bad i would just strap up. we started an elevated deadlift cycle tonight. we are pulling a couple inches below the knee. i worked up to 635 without straps and stopped there…really started to hurt.

elevated pulls
135x6
225x6
315x6
405x6
495x3
585x3
635x1

speed pulls
225x3x8

gunzzzz- did a four movement circuit for three rounds. each round added weight but kept the reps the same. gunzzz were swole afterwards.

incline dumbell curlzz, swiss bar curlzzz, one arm dumbell preacher curlzzz, reverse barbell curlzzzzzz

some x 10 x 3

seated calfs and incline situps with weight

some x 20 x 3

bench’n on friday…should be interesting.

Careful, MMeat, you’re drifting into “Bodybuilding” …

Great work man.

How’re dealing the healing?

i know… i’m trying to get my weight up to 280. what better way besides just becoming a bigger fatass.

i’m sure i’m setting back the healing but the alternative is worse… not training.

bench press- hand hurts like hell but casting the hand on the heavy sets seem to help. it really only hurt really bad on the 585 and 600lb board set. tonight was the first night of the new bench cycle. it isn’t fancy but i like it and it will hopefully bump my bench up some. tonight was a good base to build upon.

the bench we use is in bad shape. i need to find a pad that’s wider with some grip. the one we have is too narrow and actually leans to the right. on my heavy sets you can see me lean to the right. it freak’n sucks.

four board bench press
225x6
315x6
405x6
495x3
545x1
585x1
600x1- this is a good start.

bench press touch and go
225x1
315x1
405x1
455x1
495x1- felt easy considering everything i did before this.

close grip bench press- feet up
315x6
365x6
405x3

good start to the cycle.

That was the easiest 495 I’ve seen you do. Big balls getting under 600 with one spotter, dude.

Holy shit man. A good start? Isn’t that around your all time best on 4-board? Plus, that 495 looked fast as hell for that weight.

Hope everyone is doing well there. Hows bill after the meet? He back to hittin it hard again?

pretty close to an all time PR. i’ll definitely hit an all time PR within this cycle. being that i just did the heavy four board stuff it felt pretty light. the bench sucks though. it leans so bad to the right that the lockout looks retarded. i need to find a new pad for it. next week i’ll move it up to something in the low 500’s. i was checking powerlifting watch and that outlaw bench meet is scheduled again for december. i think i’ll do that leading up to the big one in feb. it was different benching with people drinking and smoking around us.

bills back at it. we will get him squared away. he’ll be ready for the next one.

i hit 495 for a double a couple months ago when i was fresh. hopefully as my bodyweight comes up i will be able to triple it soon. i actually missed my first attempt at 600 and had to bring it down to the board. i came off the board much faster than i expected and lost it back towards my face. that’s the good thing about raw lifting. i have confidence in my ability to handle these weights and it wasn’t a big deal bring it down to the board and then getting my spotter to help me get it off.

thanks for stopping in Pale One.

Just saw that there is a Full powerlifting competition at brute strength on April 14th. I could probably arrange so I could do that one with you guys. Would you be interesting in doing that full meet then.

I see the February one also, but I don’t think I could come back around that time…

hypertrophy squat day- kept everything light and went for reps. definitely had a good burn and pump going.

front squat-paused at bottom, ATG
0x6
95x6
135x6
185x6
225x6
275x6
315x6

leg press- did four sets. each time adding weight but keeping the reps at 20 with feet close at the bottom of the platform, no lockout and no stopping.

10plates x 20
12plates x 20
14plates x 20
16plates x 20

did seated calf raises in between sets.

sure…why not.

overhead press’n- decided to work up to something heavy on the swiss bar tonight. i have trouble balancing the bar and getting drive out of the hole. on my last set i felt plenty strong but the bar path was all over the place. just need to keep at it.

swiss bar overhead press
0x10
105x6
145x6
195x6
235x6

shoulder circuit- lateral raises, upright rows, seated arnold presses and face pulls

all sets are done for 50 reps - rest/pause if needed.

seated calf raises

some x some

bench’n- everything is feeling really good with my bench. BW is coming up slowly. i increased everything by 10lbs today and hit two all time weight PR’s as well.

4 board bench press
135x6
225x6
315x3
405x1
495x1
545x1

505x1 + 10lbs from last week.

close grip bench press- feet up.
225x3
315x3
365x3
415x3 + 10lb PR

good, solid session.

deads- we are pull’n from the transition point in a deadlift below the knee. it’s a deadspot for me and takes a great deal of muscling up the weight to get it started. if i can break it off the elevation, it’s mine. otherwise, it doesn’t budge. bumped up my top set by 40lbs tonight. still have room to move up.

elevated pulls
135x6
225x6
315x6
405x3
495x3
585x1
655x1
675x1

speed pulls- upped these to 275 from 225 last week.

275x3x8

curlz for the girlzzzz- we did the same circuit we did last week. there are four movements. each done for ten strict reps and then add weight each set for a total of three sets

reverse barbell curlzzz, swiss bar curlzzz, preacher dumbell curlzzz and incline dumbell curlzzz.

good night tonight.

Damn i know the spot you are talking about on the deadlifts and 675 is heavy as hell from there.

I just did 675 reverse band and was feelin pretty good about that… lol. I’ve been setting up the bands so they aren’t taking any weight off the top… but the thick bands are so heavy they still take a decent amount of weight off the bottom. Gonna go for 700 next time.

Edit: Man that 505 bench looked so easy except that right arm. Your right arm has always come up a tiny bit slower than your left, but it looks like that bench is making it a lot worse.

skwatts- did some long pause front squats tonight. worked up to an easy 415. video cut out because my phone rang.

0x6
135x6
185x6
225x6
315x3
365x3
415x1

leg press- all sets done for 20 non stop reps with feet together, at bottom of platform and no lockout.

6plates x 20
8plates x 20
10 plates x 20
12plates x 20

that’s it… we had 8 guys squatting tonight. it took a little while.

going to have a meeting this weekend to team up with a local powerlifting federatiom and start holding meets at the facility.

Jeez man, 8 guys squatting lol.

How ya like the knee wraps?
