i’ve been slowly upping the volume to get more work done to improve my work capacity. i’m really bad about working up to a heavy single and then calling it quits because i’m so damn tired. with my new cycle i’m working up to heavy triples early on and then hitting the heavy singles at the end of the minicycles.
I have been doing those front squats but I backed Way way down on the weights to get the form down. Once I get all the fat off andstart lifting heavy things again I’m looking forward to using these as a ME…
You guys leaning out at all with all the Prowler work?
I know this ain’t “The Bodybuilding Forum”, but I wonder if you guys notice comp changes with the conditioning you’ve added in over the past months (sprints, prowler, etc).
Feeling any different in general? Clothes fitting differently? I guess I’m asking if you’re seeing ‘tangible’ benefits from the conditioning.
deadlifts against chains - moved the bar weight up 50lbs from last week. chain weight stays the same.

i’ve noticed that my butt looks so much better in my tight jeans now.
seriously though…yeah… huge difference. i’ve made a ton of progress. my energy levels are so much higher, all the little aches and pains have gone away, my work capacity is through the roof and i’m getting leaner while my strength is growing.
EVERYONE should do this stuff. a word of warning though. i find that a lot of people over do it. they go too heavy, too much volume or push the intensity too high. we keep it, for the most part, at a steady pace with moderate weight. tonight we finished with one timed set of tire flips but that was it. if you are doing it right you shouldn’t feel beat to shit afterwards.

“Mmmmm, lookin’ mighty cute in them jeans!”
Good to hear. I’ve been thinking about jumping on the Prowler wagon. This recommendation goes a long way in my book.

just start slow and steady and increase slowly. there’s a lot you can do with a prowler.
nice pulling, and damn you are looking lean, only question, don’t you want all the chains to clear the floor? it’s always a challenge with the set up with enough chains vs. the floor. and this is a tip I got from the 840 puller I train with…
good input regarding the conditioning. it’s amazing, I find with some of the house work stuff I am doing right now, ripping up flooring, hauling shit around in a wheelbarrow, etc. I would be gassed if it wasn’t for my conditioning work

i find that when all the chains clear the floor they get swaying on me at the top. i have a very forceful lockout and when i do that with the chains totally off the floor the bar will sway on me and jack my lower back. also, if you notice we lay the chains out length wise forward and back. this adds a TON of friction on the chains on the first pull. i do the same on bench.
as long as it’s consistent week to week i’m happy with it.
the conditioning stuff improves quality of life regardless if you are a powerlifter or not.
