Steroids: Why or Why Not?

THIS

I inject test enanthate everyday as well for this purpose. injecting subq is also the way forward in terms of avoiding aromatization IIRC.

slower release, more stable levels, less aromatization [/quote]

Makes sense. Is there going to be a big difference at lower levels as well? Like 600mg Test E, but pinned 4 times a week instead of 2.

certainly… splitting that amount into 7 pins and pinning every day would be even better

Is there any worry pinning the same muscle group that many times over 10-12 weeks? I recall Nasser having some atrophy in some of his muscles perhaps from pinning or synthol in the latter part of his career.

(IIRC) according to Milos, Nasser had hit nerves with pins quite a bit, especially in his lats

it depends on the gauge of the needle, as well as the amount being pinned. I use slin pins on everything, and pin no more than .5ml at a time

Always use slin pins. You should never be so fat you can’t use slin pins. This will help with scar tissue as well

And the jump from 1-2 is hard to say. It depends on the compounds as well some will give more strength than others

pinning gear subq works very nicely too…

I’ve seen you post this a couple of times and I’m intrigued.

Doesn’t it leave you with a lump? What kind of volumes are you pinning?

As rds asked. How much volume?

I don’t do this myself… but I may begin soon. They are beginning to implement this more and more in TRT protocols in clinics and are pleased with the results.

according to what ive read, using a very small gauge, IE 28+ causes more trauma to the area which could lead to a lump and some inflammation. using a larger gauge like 26 will allow the compound to disperse better. May want to consider heating the oil

volume < .5ml

very interesting. If you do try it, let us know how it goes

My personal experience with steroids is very limited. I only recently began my first cycle (less than 2 weeks ago).

I’m doing my first BB competition this July and I had intended doing it as a natural (in the NPC, lulz). However, I went to get bloodwork done at the recommendation of my nutritionist and everything was PERFECT…except my testosterone. I had an abysmal T-level of 111.59 ng/dL.
This was extremely surprising, to me and my physician. I have a fair amount of muscle and had none of the ‘old man’ symptoms of low-T, other than little to no libido. Oh yeah, I’m also 21 (just this March). That is a HUGE factor. I had the T-levels of a prepubescent boy hahaha. So instead of spending a LOT of HRT (crappy insurance), I decided to do a full blown cycle since I was already in preparation for my first show.

I didn’t just begin to learn about steroids in the past few weeks, I have been interested and fairly well versed in steroid knowledge since about 17-18 but I really had no access to them (or need) until now. I don’t see a problem with their use and anyone that I meet who does have an issues with them can have those issues, but it won’t deter my use from them. I know that they can be used effectively and safely, and that is one thing that the general populous doesn’t understand.

Do you feel like your low t levels could be connencted to your absolutely insane training intensity/volume? Have you ever taken time off or deloaded in any way?

Just curious as it is a difference between what a natty and a user can get away with as far as training goes.

It is possible, of course. I do take deloads if I don’t feel good over 2-3 days, but it rarely happens. However, I don’t think is the root of the problem. If it were, then I doubt that I would have made such progress in the past year.

True. Just food for thought really.

I know overtraining can wreak havoc on hormone levels if its been going on for long enough.

Most people never push themselves hard/for long enough for it to ever be a problem, but guys such as yourself with an extreme drive and passion can get there, with tons of volume, lots of failure sets and intensity techniques.

But as you said, if you have been progressing then it is probably not the culprit.

I absolutely agree.
Not to keep refuting you, but aren’t high estrogen levels correlated with overtraining?
I assume that my pre-cycle estrogen levels would/should have been higher with such low T-levels, if it were the result of overtraining. There were 12.5 pg/mL, but 0.0-39.0 pg/mL was the “normal” range I was given. So fairly low.

But honestly, I hadn’t thought of overtraining being such a depressant of testosterone (though I did know that). Thanks for bringing it up =)
