I’ll start a cutting phase soon, using PrimaForce Yohimbine HCl and 4Ever Fit L-Tyrosine, and also cleaning up my diet. My question is should i do steady cardio 30-45 minutes in the morning on empty stomach (on stationary bike) and 30-45 minutes in the evening, or 90 minutes in morning. i’ll be doing it 6 times a week, and ill also be doing weighted chins/pull ups and dips. i need advice and i thank all for posting
I think you should work your way up to that much cardio.
Do whatever cardio you currently do or start off at 3-4 times a week, and as fat loss starts to plateau, then add more time, intensity, or frequency.
That’s just what I’ll do though. Because if you start to plateau before you even reach your goal, your only option is cardio 7 days a week or 3 times a day.
Agree with Nikki. You don’t want to play all your trump cards too early. Only add in as much as you need to keep progress going. If you are still losing ~2lbs. a week you are well on point and don’t need to add anymore in. Once you really slow down (<1lb.) or stall altogether then either increase your cardio or drop the calories. If you start out with 90 minutes 6 days a week from day 1 you will be doing hours of it by the end of your cutting phase if you are going for stage ready condition. At least from my experience.
Get your diet sorted out. Dont go crazy to start. just pull ups and dips?
yup just pull ups and dips. i can handle 6 days of long cardio its not a problem i recover very good, but my question was should i go for long sessions or split it in 2 sessions a day. i was thinking of decreasing calories as i progress and not increasing session length, and l-tyrosine and yohimbine should give me a kick and much aid recovery
I would do 1 longer session personally
aha thanx for ur opinion
and do your body-weight exercises in the pm.
Heh heh well you let us know how that works out for you.
sure thing ill post when i finish
My question is this: Why would you do traditional cardio at all? You should be able to get down to single digit bodyfat just through good nutrition and setting up your weight training program appropriately. If your goal is to improve endurance and lose a lot of muscle mass, I’d say you’re on the right track. If you want to maintain muscle and get ripped, read this:
My experience may not really count because I never had trouble with carrying too much fat, but for what it’s worth, I maintain low single digit body fat without doing any cardio whatsoever. And it’s not because that’s my focus, it’s just a side effect of the way I train.
The answer is “as little as possible to achieve the results you are looking for.” - Many people can get away with JUST dieting (to a point), then they need to add in sparse cardio, then more aggresive cardio (either in terms of time and/or intensity), and many BBers are eventually doing upwards of 2 hours of SS cardio daily at the very end.

Health benefits? Personal enjoyment?
Also, atleast I personally, feel my body composition is better when doing it than not.
DO one longer fasted cardio first thing in the morning. then do a shorter 20 min session at about 730pm
what is your body comp right now?
im 5’8 and 189-195 lbs, rough estimate is around 17% BF

cue story about jskrabac’s avvie, discussing how he went from a high BF to his current sub 10% BF by weights alone
That made me laugh! I guess I’m not the only one who’s noticed that then. Regardless of the topic, “How can I increase my deadlift?” for example, he manages to bring up the details of his amazing fat loss blah, blah, blah, blah!
Time to stop patting yourself on the back jskrabac.

Ok. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I’d rather you’d just told me to F**K OFF. Now I feel all guilty. Sorry jskrabac for being such a bitch.
