Based on topic’s measurement of training time, I’d say about a year.

Started low 150 @ 6ft, went up to about 230. Not the most lean ever but I gained a lot of muscle mass and strength so I was happy with it.

Went from repping low 100s on Dead to repping 400+, 95 repped bench to repping 2 plates, squat I have no idea what it’s at now, I’ve had pain in the ass knee/calf problems.

I have unfortunately started cutting now, not that I felt like it from a physique standpoint - I’ve developed horrible sleep apnea and the doctor said losing some weight could help with that, so that’s what I’m doing since horrible sleep has been seriously impacting my recovery and classes :frowning:

You get sleep apnea at just 230 lbs? Is this caused by actually weighing 230 lbs or because you have a lot of fat around the organs or something?

That would suck if you could never really get big or else run the risk of dying in your sleep.

Pretty much my jaw shape, tongue size, breathing passage size, tonsil size, etc… the way they are, each one could individually cause someone to have sleep apnea.

With the added weight I’d put on it really just compounded the issue.

Weight loss is pretty much the only thing I can do to help with it until they get me a machine, tonsil surgery, etc - but the wait time for an appointment makes that a bitch.

I’m hoping it gets fixed and I can add size without having to worry about it. I’d be amazingly disappointed if I actually won’t ever be able to be huge without serious sleeping troubles.

dude i dont think i have sleep apnea but last night i like got that feeling you get when you wake up from a really bad dream and i wasnt able to breathe really well or anything.

it sucked.

I started out at about 170 in April '07, now I am at 200. 6’1. I was always kind of muscular even though I never worked out, and no matter what I do I can’t lose my abs or get over 10% body fat. I’m broke now though and can’t afford protein shakes or anything so I just have to stuff as much food as I can in my face, so gains are a little harder right now.

I started out @ 123lbs @ 5’11… VERY VERY skinny… small joints etc… prolly 8% - 10% I’m 183 right now… and around 10% - 12% or so…

i was wicked skinny with huge joints, huge hands, huge head, huge feet, huge nose lol everything on me was huge except my muscles so im like yeah i should probaly change that.

but i guess it doesnt matter how big your joints are if they still suck - like mine do

man how can you not be inspired by this site? they say to get huge surround yourself with like-minded individuals, and seriously looking at all of the progress everyone’s made, I’m just about ready to go crazy for my leg day today!
