Started Bulking, Critique Diet

After some feedback I got, I started bulking by eating a lot and doing the Chad Waterbury’s summer project. I’ll just list what I ate today and hopefully you guys can give me critique on it. I’ll try and be as accurate as possible.

9:30 AM - 2 Eggs scrambled, 1/2 slice of bacon (some healthy one I bought with 3g of fat per slice)

12PM - Taco Bell Chulupa. Now before you say anything, I tried to find the healthiest thing on the menu… i had no lunch and it was break time during class. That Chulupa consisted of tortilla, tomatos, lettuce, and white chicken breast, cheese… I took off the sour cream.

2:30PM - 2 more eggs scrambled, 1 wheat grits “pancake” for carbs. No fat, lot of fiber.

4PM - Homemade wrap consisting of 100% wheat tortilla, full sliced tomatos, lettuce, white chicken breast, reduced fat cheddar cheese, and a dash of tobasco sauce.

5 PM - (Snack) Organic Raisin Bran cereal (probably 2 serving size) with Fat Free milk

7PM - Whey Protein Shake after my workout. 44g of protein, 2g of carbs. No fat.

8 PM - Tuna Sandwich. Wheat Bread packed with tuna and full sliced tomatos.

9 PM - A full mango, some cherries

Haven’t had anything since and it is 11:30PM. I am thinking of a whey protein shake and another raisin bran cereal before I head off to sleep around 1am.

That’s about it. I might have forgotten a couple things so give it about 300-500 extra calories. My goal calorie intake in order to gain was 3800. Thanks… Im not sure if what I’m doing is right but hopefully it is… I"m trying my best on a low budget and horrible cooking skills. THanks

Why are you not eating any fat? What are you afraid of? It’s not 1994 anymore.

Your PWO sucks.

Otherwise ok, but you’ll probably not gain much on 3800 without some healthy fats.

You should have eaten the sour cream…

that diet needs alot of work, id check out some other peoples bulking diets in search

man…i knew it needed work.

btw what’s PWO?

PWO is post workout - which should have twice as many carbs as protein… look into Surge.

Also something else that stands out to me is eating fruit right before bed is a bad idea in my opinion. You want something with protein and then something that will cause it to digest slow… like fat.

Fat is your friend… try to get equal saturated, poly-unsaturated, and mono-unsaturated. A good way to get these is from nuts, extra virgin olive oil, fish oil caps, etc.

A general rule of thumb with fast food is it’s never going to be very healthy, but not eating anything at all is worse. Just be conscious of what you are consuming.

Check out some of Berardi’s stuff. Try to follow his 7 habits… I recommend you buy his precision nutrition program also.

Good luck!
