Is there a knee injury or something going on there?

Yo man, good freakin’ lift. Looks like you guys have quite a bit of potential.

My knee is fucked up , don’t know what’s wrongexactly but my guess is 10 years of intensive skateboarding and mountain biking does not help too. I’m not a genetically gifted lifter ,i only lift to push my limits to the extreme. Actually 4 years before i stepped on the scale at a very big … 129 pounds , hahaha yeah right.

I counted 3 plates, a 10 and a 5. That’s 345.

Sucks about the knee, but good to see you’re not letting it hold you back. I really respect that.

Take a closer look there’s 4 ten pounds and one five + 3 plates…

Since the thread is still rollin i will post my training log here

Tonight i did the following

-Green band tris extension
-green band low row(doubled)
-Face pull green band
-pull ups
-dumbbell hammer curl tumbless grip 60 x10

this was a giant set all stuff were done using 12-15 reps , did this 4 times.

-Stiff leg deadlift double over hand grip 445x5 raw no belt on two 45’s pounds
-Leg curl with light bands 2 sets of over 30 reps
-Pulldown abs 2 sets 10-25 reps
-Barbell row with phat bar 3 sets a 185 with double overhand

Called it a day, did nothing heavy case it’s my last workout until the meet wich is sunday . It’s a push pull , i will go easy on the bench since the nationals a 3 week after this meet, but i’ll try 610 raw on deads(no belt). I plan benching around 400-425. Will test my bench at nationals havent maxed in while, will see. I expect doing at least 465.

Ahh forgot to names the boy who did a deadlift pr tonight, Keven a heavy 15 years old did 455 raw, Pogo a heavy did the same thing, Ringuette did 435 at 198 at 16 years old. Yves did 425 at 148. Our members are fucking dedicated!

Oh my god can we please not have this crap?

Awsome lifts… that 675 dead was amazing

Thanks you , wish i could nail it this way at the meet. I need to break the raw record. i want it totally raw, no belt , no suit.

Awesome stuff man.

That 405 bench @ 170 in single ply is pretty phenomenal IMO.

Translation “I’m a bitch and hate it when people are stronger than me”

Damn, why can’t I find a group of guys around here to start a club with. I’m pissed.

Great work though, I’m jealous. haha

I’m sure you can find a group. i live in a town with no more than 50 thoushands peoples. Keep trying , it will be real hard to spot the guys who want to train real hard and be consistent! If you want a powerlifting gym , spot the big strong and fat bastard who try to lean out, bring him to a meet and get him hooked. ahaha

Jon

Back from the meet with more than 11 records form the 4 members who did it Here’s a picture with the medal . More to come later with results ans action pics, too tired from the 5 hours drive in the snow after the meet.

Meet recap:

Maxime Jauvin : He benched 450 at 170 (45 pounds PR) and pulled 500 to win first place

Guillaume Guérette: Benched 335 at 190 and pulled 460(20 pounds PR) in the sub junior category

Myself: Since i haven’t done ANY bench in the shirt for a long time( biceps problems) . I warmed up with a shit load of pain , i was not sure to get a bench in…225 on the bar and could not press it raw, muscle shutdown in the bi’s /tri’s. Stopped there put the shirt and went to the platform to open at 365…and got it. I was happy, now i couldthink to set a total in. I gave 425 a go and pressed it!!!

Stopped there since my arms was shaking like hell. I opened pretty light on the dead( i love to pen light it gives me confidence) 555 and smoked it like it was 225 , after my handler asked for 605 (to beat the raw record, i was there fos this one) . The record in my pocket, my total setting me in first place i called it a day.

Corinne huot: It was corinne first meet. She benched 130 and deadlifted 300 !!! she did the meet raw as well.

It was the first meet the club. What a week end .Pics to follow
