SRC 2-Dumb Things YOU've Done

Mine’s in a similar vein to a lot of these stories:
Warming up one day before snatches. I’m not exactly Captain Badass, so my snatch is pretty light, and my warm up even lighter. For whatever reason, I wasn’t paying attention and as I’m pulling the bar up, I crack myself right under my nose. Not like tip of my nose, I’m talkin’ septum and nostrils. Needless to say, it bloodied up pretty quick and I had to go stuff some paper towels in it so that I could continue on with the workout.

Once did cleans with way too low weight. I still exploded as I do with weights twice as heavy. Managed to get the bar high enough to bruise my lip and hit upper front teeth.

Luckily didn’t knock any teeth out. One felt a bit loose though, and it was scratched by the knurling on the bar too. If you look closely enough you can see it’s actually missing a little from the edge.

Damn lucky, still.

one time i was doing sumo DL and dropped it on my foot.

Today was leg day, so after painfully trying to get undressed to take a shower, I had some difficulty getting my socks off. You know the “My legs don’t want to bend” sensation.

So after about 3 attempts I said “Fuck it,” and took my shower.

I got some funny looks stepping out of the shower with wet socks on. So if someone posts about some retard who wore his socks in the shower on the SRC thread, that was me.

Was at a friends house, he had a doorway chinning bar. I thought i’d do a chin up and switch my grip in-mid air. It didn’t work. I fell from the chinning bar and landed flat on my back… my friend laughed at me.

got you beat. Kinda.

I was doing hang clean/press, did the same thing. Only i chipped a tooth due to the resulting rapid closure of the oral cavity. Felt like a genius.

I have two…
First:
Was doing jerk presses. caught “myself” on the way up, caught the jerk, threw it down and collapsed. after a 20 minute recoup, finished the set. needless to say, i’ve been careful since.

Second:
Was doing weighted pullups, had a 35 lb plate on the belt, jumped up to grab the bar, instead of stepping up to it on the pins,right as i grabbed the bar the belt slid down, caught around my ankles and pulled me backwards off the pullup bar. a literal pain in the ass.

was doing weighted sit ups… so i go over with a 45 lb plate to a bench… little do i know the bench pad is broken and hence not actuall secured to the frame… i sit down with the plate across my chest and as a bend back the cushion flies up in the air sending me to the ground as it simultaneously pulls my shorts off

The other day I was going for a PR on my C & J…well I recieved the bar a little high and ended up getting hit in the throat by 120kg.
