just curious how you guys do it when you miss meal times for some reason or another. this weekend i ended up sleeping in for the first time in weeks. got about 10 hours of sleep or so compared to my usual 6. this threw off my eating schedule so in order to get all my calories in i ended up eating my last 2 meals only about an hour and a half apart. i know in the past when i miss meal times i will eat the first chance i get and then try to squeeze in the other meals like this before i go to bed or i will end up staying awake longer so i dont miss a meal. i guess my real question is if it is best to just make up for the meal by eating more calories in the next meal(s) you have or by eating meals only a couple of hours apart and try to squeeze them in like i’ve been doing? how do you guys do it?
Just space your calories and macros out over 5 meals instead of six.
If I get up later than usual for whatever reason, I usually squeeze my first couple meals of the day closer together (rather than the last two)…sometimes I skip a meal and have more cals in other meals throughout the day…don’t think it matters much really.
Despite waking up later, I eat the same meals during the weekend as I do on weekdays; I accomplish this by telescoping my between-meal periods. During the week I eat every 2-and-a-half hours, and during the weekends I eat every two hours.
