Squatting-Use the Foam Pad or Not?

And some like to play at being hardcore by attempting to move heavy weights with ugly form and claim lifts they haven’t done.

Yet more still like to be hardcore by jsut going into the gym and blasting and not taking their dick out to compare it with random people on the net. I’m lucky I’m well hung.

He’s subtly trying to insult me. (Note that the video he’s seen was me in the first few weeks of deadlifting before I had gotten my form and technique worked out. He assumes he knows something about how it looks today.)

The most ironic part is that he can’t accuse others of being penis insecure without mentioning the size of his own.

Wow. Super intelligent and naturaly gifted.

Why aren’t you famous?

It’s funny how you’re aware my post was both ironic and subtle, yet still missed the most subtle and ironic part of it.

He is built too low to the ground… the fast ones go right over his head.

um…why is this thread still going?

You got your answer on the first page. Now, ditch the pussy pad, quit arguing about nothing, and go squat.

I like your avatar

Are you talking to me?? Thanks. I, um…made it myself :)
LMFAO

Go Bucks!

Do you ever see powerlifters or bodybuilders or football players using the maxi-pad when they squat? No? That should tell you something.
Good argument, but not great. I only see about 20% of the people in my gym use the safety springs on barbells and theres is absolutely no excuse for not using those.

last time I saw someone at my club using collars, besides at a competition, would be when we were afraid the plates would fall off from the bar bending to much!!!

I can’t remember the last time I used a collar!

yeah to be honest I only start to use collars when going up about 400 lbs.

I just don’t see any need. The bars we use are sticky enoguh so the plates don’t slide off like.

All this being said Racarnus I hope your not using the pad.

Can college kids help me understand something. When I was in college every organization meeting had boxes and boxes of pizza. Also cafeteria food was unlimited. How come you guys can’t afford to eat nowadays? they don’t do this anymore?

I have squatted once since this thread began. I didn’t use the pad. It was interesting because I had to flex my traps in a way I wasn’t used to doing. It wasn’t the most comfortable thing admittedly, but I can see it being preferable in the long run.

Re colleges unlimited food:

It depends on the college and I can only speak for the place I go, which I won’t mention the name, lest I be accused of bragging. Here there are dining halls and you can purchase a dining plan of X meals for the year. The prices are terrible: meals come to 12.50 a pop and unused meals at the end of the year are discarded. Yes, it’s all-you-can eat, but I can’t eat very much in one meal, and the food isn’t friendly to an anabolic diet, and it’s much cheaper to buy groceries and do your own cooking.
