I just can’t get over how unbelievably low your IQ must be for you to decide to deadlift standing on a skateboard… Sigh… A couple more attempts at that and we will be observing natural selection at work.
Luv it! My buddy Nic is a big strong concrete finisher that still skates. I gotta show him that video.

Skate shoes are perfect for deadlift. Specially the old school vans. I deadlocked barefoot once never again… ended up getting athletes foot. The gym is one of the most unsanitary places u can be. Sweat all over equipment. Skin cells on barbells

IMO As long as the sole is stiff, the rest is up to you. I personally deadlift in skate’like shoes with the insole taken out so bottom of the shoe is basically a 2mm piece of rubber - perfect. For squat, I like a bit of a heel so prefer not to use skate shoes.[/quote]
This. I pulled the insoles out of my chucks. It is kind of a bitch to get out, but way better than slippers imo.
Personally, I use weightlifting shoes for squats, but it really depends how you squat. Wide stance with little knee slide, and a flat sole will probably work better. Don’t pull the insoles out of the shoes you squat in - the thickness is meaningless, and you need the arch support.
Mark Bell makes a pair of PL shoes now that I’ve heard pretty good things about. Looks a lot like chucks, but with features designed with PL specifically in mind.

You are correct, Deadlifting is already such a dangerous exercise, standing on a skateboard and doing a 2.5 bw lift should be a crime in my country.
Okay, okay, okay…who’s old enough to remember bowling shoes for squats?
Soles hard as wood, different heel thicknesses to choose from, always on sale somewhere.
Oh, I’m the only one?
Okay, never mind.
