SQUAT FORM CHECK. Please and Thanks

Been lifting for 6-7 months now, and would like to get tips on my squat to improve while im a novice.

All advice appreciated.

Here’s 95% of my 1RM. Not so heavy my form completely crumbles, heavy enough you can see i put in work.

From this angle I personally don’t see much wrong. You’re definitely breaking depth and back is staying pretty neutral chest could be up a little more but other than that from this view you looked pretty good. Just make sure you’re pushing your knees out.

Ya my knees are pushed out a ton.

I noticed my butt tucked under in the hole. Whats a way to fix that?

Possibly arch your back harder, break at the hips, don’t look straight up keep your head neutral, knee’s out coming up, keep your air

Thats another thing i noticed, i need to break at the hips first, not knees and hips at the same time.

I also noticed weight shifted forward an inch or so. How can i learn to stay on my heels?

Box squats. Also, before you squat, lift your big toe up. It will shift your weight to your heels(put your toe down but keep weight on heels).

looks really good man. i tail tuck at the bottom too… i slightly reduce my depth to avoid. my legs r too long poor leverages not built for ass to grass squats maybe ur the same. or hip flexor, ham and upper back mobility could help. nice form man

Its funny. I was trying things out in my room an hour ago and i noticed this, and placing more pressure on the edges of my feet do the same. Going to try this during tomorrows squats.

Ya im 6’1 with a long femur. You might be able to tell in the video that my femur is just as long as my tibia (sucks but no excuse).

Butt wink is almost completely unavoidable as a raw lifter squatting to depth. Don’t worry about it too much.

EDIT: Holy fuck you need to eat more. I’m fairly sure my wrists are bigger than your calves.

Pretty inaccurate information regarding butt wink.
