Ok, maybe i can’t squat 600 lbs, but here are some videos of my squats. Please critique my squats constructively and let me know what i can do to improve them. Don’t mind the belt, i usually don’t wear one but today my back felt weak.
I screwed up this video but you can see abit of my form. Watch number 2, 3, 4 and so on…
The weights are hiding your posture a bit, but all in all, it seems decent to me as well. I agree with ZYL on the posture part though, but all in all, good work!
Good job lifting, but I was told you want to come up faster then when you go down. Always keep that in mind, ok ? Go down S-L-O-W, and EXPLODE to the TOP !!! GOOD WORK !!!
Looks good, but make sure youre not rounding your back (can;t see clearly). Also it looks like as you go on 2, 3 and 4 your hips are rising faster…so try pushing from your heels more (glutes) as the amount of weight you’re handling is decent and CAN injure you. Keep chest out and try looking upwards throughout.
hey dont mean to hijack this thread,
but i find when i go heavy on the squats my right knee(which has been injured serveral times…football) collapses and goes in toward my body? whats the best way to fix this?
Only watched the first 2 back squat videos. They look pretty good, nice and deep.
2 things that others haven’t mentioned.
Why are you bouncing and slightly bending your knees before you do your 1st rep?
When your doing heavy squats don’t fool around yelling stuff in between reps. You should be concentrating on getting air in and performing the next rep.

I’m re-adjusting the bar so it is perfectly centered. That way there is no imbalance. I move the bar left or right.
I don’t usually yell or grunt, but when i do, it’s for myself and not for others to be amazed. If i had my own gym, i’d be yelling “light weight” :)… Just words of encouragement to get the weight up psychologically.

I constantly try to keep that in mind. Chest up, ass out. Head raises first and drive with my heels. I’m working on it.

I don’t like to explode from the begining of the hole… This prevents knee problems, or am I wrong? Anytime after that, i try.
