Just for reference, a training day of eating today:
Meal 1: Coffee + VCO, 4oz Chicken, cup of cottage cheese, and some spinach
Meal 2: Shake
Meal 3: Big Burrito from Moes
Meal 4: 6oz of Steak, 2 cups pasta noodles, 2 servings green veggies
Meal 5: Shake plus 2 bananas
Pretty simple day, hit 325/200/90 and wasn’t that hungry. Usually have more fat in the mornings and a basic meat + starch meal for dinner, but Moe’s Monday is such a good deal, plus I’ve gone almost every Monday for like a year now. Dat dere tradition.
Loled at all this. Diet looks solid there is no evidence that Pro shakes are inferior to “whole” food. Carb sources don’t matter. Also supported by science. Meal frequency again supported by science deosnt matter. Even can be detrimental potentially to physique if eating too often.
pp that looks like plenty of carbs still and carbs before bed has been shown in many studies to actually be neutral or help fat loss. It all depends on overall macros.

I wanted to say this exact same thing but didn’t feel like it was my place.
Moes is the shit.
Carbs at night get you lean.
Waffles are the GOAT.

Ive literally never had success with carbs at night for me except trace amounts, every time Ive done it even if Ive kept carbs reasonably low overall like I did when I used to wrestle I could see my physique growing soft at a rather alarming rate. Maybe its just me and my shitty metabolism lol
In a normal day Ill have 2 cups of pasta cooked measure, and 1 cup of oats. I get some from milk as well. Not sure what the math of that is but dont think its over 200g carbs?
Also not disagreeing with IIFYM or how you guys eat, if it works it works but I literally would go nuts just couldn’t see myself eating like that, it would just feels like I’m picking at stuff all day rather than just sitting down for a few good meals

Who said anything about meal frequency? Or not eating carbs at night? Also, never read any studies but I know several people who’s gains accelerated as soon as they dropped shakes and started chewing their food, myself included.
Also, Ryan, aren’t you juicing? Do you think the same dietary flexibility that someone who’s lean and on physique enhancing drugs should be employed by fairly soft, natural trainee? Nothing wrong with burritos or pizza or even cookies in moderation. But there needs to be balance and discipline. Eating shit develops bad habits. Someone who works as hard as Spidey does in the gym is doing themselves a great disservice by skimping on quality food in favor of lemonade and cookies 'cause “iifym”.
Not trying to knock ya Spidey, just getting a discussion going.
WF, I also know several people (guys like bluecollartrain) who swear that protein shakes are inferior to ‘real food’. On the other hand, some people (like me) rely heavily on shakes, and have seen pretty solid results as well. I’ve done both, and really haven’t seen a difference in gains. Shakes work, steaks work. I currently take in at least half of my protein from shakes and bars every day, and I’m seeing solid gains.
I didn’t know Ryan was juicing, when did that happen? Or, is that correct Ryan?
Side note: Spidey, eating sugar cookies while dieting seems pretty fucking dumb to me, but I guess do what works for you. At my level of leanness, which I think is relatively similar to yours, I can’t get leaner without dropping sugar entirely from my diet.

LOL asking someone if theyre using PEDs on such a public forum that is not like it used to be in regards to talking publically about gear use is hillarious. Even if someone was on there is no way anyone in their right mind is going to tell you on such a public forum. Its inviting trouble.
food is fucking food idk why people care so much what you eat. I have like 3-4 shakes a day. brb guess im getting small and weak. also layne norton and all the 3dmj guys are iifym, and they’re some really good coaches for natural athletes.

Wasn’t trying to start shit or dime Ryan out. Thought I remembered him saying he was taking a few different things and he’s maintained a pro use stance in a few threads. If not, my mistake.

He’s been fairly open about his use in several threads, if I recall correctly.

There’s definitely more than one way to skin a cat, but my theme was “smarter choices”.

First, there’s quite a bit of debate whether those dudes are natural or not. Second, they’re consistently making “smart” choices. Third, they’re big, muscular guys who can probably get away with more due to the metabolic furnace.

Thanks for the compliment but one a year and half ago if it were legal otherwise No because breaking the law is a no no. and only been on TRT before and after and I eat and trained the exact same. Same meal frequency same flexibility. Same everything.
I’d like to hear what you think the diff food choices need to be and macros being the same what benifits there will be
Also to add no I don’t think AAS play a major role in what you can eat. I think many people over state then find out when they bloated and far they don’t do that much GH is a diff story all I can comment on that is anecdotes and studies but that does seem to be the game changer if used smart
