Some Sick Body Weight Strength Videos

Holy shit. I think my shoulders popped out of joint at about 4:15 of that second video.

[sarcasm] I wonder how much they could Lat Pulldown? [/sarcasm]

Did those guys get like that from BW only? Once their bodies adapted to the stress, those moves wouldn’t stimulate new growth, would they?

I wish I looked like that.

i think they would stimulate growth if you progressed, like any other exercise. doing the moves faster, or under better control, or for longer duration. besides, it obviously has stimulated something by the looks of their upperbodies.

although in the first video theres a guy deadlifting and doing dips with extra weight, so who knows.

either way, great videos. i wonder if any of those guys have had any formal gymnastics training, or how they would do in a competition.

yeah thats awesome strength with control anyway you look at it

Crazy impressive!! Amazing upper bodies in the 2nd video.

I would think it’s possible.

Think of the needed strength to execute moves that are so difficult.

In their pursuits to accomplish these feats you’d think that the anatomical and physiological adaptations would be rather significant.

But on the other hand I’m pretty confident they aren’t unfamiliar with dumbbells, barbells, weighted chins, etc…

cool vids though

You’re gay

Thanks for the links, that’s fucking crazy. Makes me wonder why there are so few black gymnasts competing.

You want a kiss??

Yeah he’s deadlifting 655 lbs raw like it’s nothing. I think it’s safe to say those guys know their way around a weightroom.

dips much?

Another addition:

friggin’ amazing…

8 years ago I used to compete at state level for a top level Japanese university judo team and quite a few of my teammates could pull off a lot of stuff like that. Especially guys in the 60-84kg weight classes. Mostly it was just done to try to impress girls during breaks in classes but it was very impressive (and a little humbling) to see in person.

Typically these were guys who could manage stuff like 2xbw bench presses, 30+ deadhang pullups, no leg ropeclimbs and so on. At the time I was pretty strong and athletic for my size (160kg bench, 215kg squat & deadlift @ 86~90kg BW) but I couldn’t come close to even attempting most of what they were doing.

I’m guessing the guys in the videos are somewhere in the 180-210lbs weight range. IMO the 655lbs deadlift and what appeared to be a 225lbs weighted dip were even more impressive than the bar hopping.

thats impressive stuff, but to add some air to reality, why do i get the feeling they sport nice chicken legs.
