Some Questions on My First Cycle

well Reed I apologize, props on bein in the 75th. it’s just if i believed everyone on the internet who claimed that, I wouldn’t exactly be the brightest bulb haha. What years did you serve? And as far as the bench form goes, i’ll get some pretty intense arch in my back but I won’t lift my butt off the bench, and on squats I’ll get pretty damn close to parallel(like middle of thigh parallel)

Back in high school one of my team mates dad’s was the head strength and conditioning coach at the university of Memphis football so he volunteered to coach us too, and really busted heads about form. I may not know shit about diet but I know about form haha. I usually don’t have a workout partner, but when I do I’ll try to get him to video (imma feel so gay being that guy recording himself at the gym though lol)

Prophet, I think it’s hilarious that you attacked basically one of a few guys on these forums that actually has the credentials to counter your ‘what have you done’ argument, particularly as it relates to serving his country. Reed isn’t lying, he’s got plenty of evidence here and elsewhere to back up what he says. Reed is unassailable on that account. He HAS accomplished much more than you, like it or not.[/quote]

Dude I fuckin know right! like what are the chances? The only reason I even brought it up is cuz i just assumed he was some yuppie trying to be an internet badass tryin to tell me what I’ve accomplished. Well, my bad. respect to that guy

Signed up for 6 years in May of 09 year I graduated went straight out of high school. Basic started in June after almost a full month at the AG what ever only good thing was your fed like a king there lol. June started Basic at E 2/54 then Airborne school come November didn’t graduate till after JAmuary there though for being stupid. Then went to RASP took a 2 months to actually start because the instructors didn’t think I was ready (my run is horrible) finally made it through that hell hole and the rest was history in 2011 had a bad jump and destroyed back had a bad PLF and hit the ground alot harder than should have.

Took almost 12 months to actually officially do the med board because I fought and fought and fought that shit didn’t wanna go home had no idea what I would do to provide for my wife. I was more scared about coming home and trying to find a civilian job than I was my deployment. Finally got home November 11th 2012 about a year and half ago. Not very long and not even close to how I planned it to work. I wanted to make a career I loved and still recommend military for any one.

Maybe not as much now as it seems military life is just getting harder and losing a ton of benefits but, other than civilian doctors not wanting to help keep me in because was just easier to send me off I have nothing to say to against the Army especially Regiment.

Either way I’m not trying to claim to be some Billy bad ass all American I passed a 8 week course and served with a bunch of awesome guys. I saw little compared to many but alot compared to some. But I’m no different or had it any worse than any others. Got to meet a ton of amazing people how ever friends for life .

Either way I come off as a ass hole big time here I know this. But it comes from being on these boards actively and dealing with dumbasses day in and day out here and in real life who think AAS use is the answer to shitty training and diet. Its just not that way. I want you to get your shit together so you actually make and KEEP gains from a cycle. Figure out how to eat for growth. Training is the easy part. Any one with a hand can stick a needle in their ass but, it takes a different person to actually benefit from it.

Damn dude, sorry to hear that. Back April of last year we were driving down a little shit hole road in the middle of no where and next thing I know, my HMVEE is airborne, upside down. I blacked out and when I woke up I was already in a helicopter. I didn’t find out til later what the fuck happened. But I made it out lucky. One of my buddies got blown in half at the waist and another took a 7.62 in the head.

My out processing didn’t take nearly as long though, I was back home by Christmas. I was gonna transfer over to the MS NG because I had a slot at their SFAS course. Sometimes shit’s just not meant to go like we plan. But we’re both lucky to still be alive so we gotta make the best out of it. We didn’t start on the best foot, but good luck in all future endeavors

And as much as hate to admit it, I think the squat might actually be a little inflated. When i could squat 400 my usual routine was 5x5 at 340, plus a finisher set of 225x20 and like 6 sets of heavy leg press. I went in today for legs and was only able to put up 325 5x5 with the finisher and leg press.

I don’t know if this is due to lost strength or the fact that I was still half way limping from pinning my quad on Sunday haha(yeah I know, I kinda fucked it and didn’t keep it straight all the way in and Monday I could hardly walk) Are the quads harder to pin beacause of all the muscle? Any advice on pinning?

well, the pin got much easier the second time around. hit like right in the middle of my lateral delt and it was much better. It did bleed pretty good for like 2 seconds though

Its all good man.

When it comes to pinning quads some people just can’t tolerate them. My favorite place to pin if I don’t have a friend or someone to help me out. Make sure you heat up the oil good before you try and pin it that will help quite a bit. Plus being a first time muscle being pinned is going to cause extra soreness but, should get better with each pin.

So the little blood isn’t anything to worry about? I’m assuming if I actually pinned a vain it woulda been alot worse

It likely means you went through a superficial vein. You didn’t actually inject directly into a vein or anything. It’s a pretty common thing to happen, you’re fine.

So can I use the spot again or should I find a new one next time I do my left delt?

alternate injection sites, helps lessen scar tissue build up. Pin your other delt next time.

Yeah I know, i meant next time i pin that same delt can i use the same spot

yeah man, it’s cool

Aight bro, preciate it. Also, I looked at that 10,000 kettlebell swing and it looks pretty legit. Can’t decide if I should use it for the first or second half of my cycle. Thoughts?

the only thing i would use kettlebells for is to strap to my weight belt

phatso told me to try the 10,000 kettle bell challenge. a 55 lb kettle bell for 500 swings with heavy compounds between? sounds like a terrible time. I was thinkin about doin it for 5 days/week for 4 weeks then doin the Leroy Colbert style program from “full body workouts of the gods” on this site with HITT cardio on off days for 8 weeks. Got my diet cleaned up, got a lot better training strategy. I’m really excited to see how this cycle goes.

10,000 kettlebell swing challenge thing sounds like a fate worse than death! I’d just do some sprints on a bike twice or thrice weekly.

If you clean up your diet, and I mean REALLY clean it up, and hit the weights hard then you’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish over the next 12 weeks

word, I live right next to park/soccer complex(like I can walk out the gate of my back yard and walk into the soccer fields) so I can leave my house, do my sprints, burpees, suicides, I got a hammer and a tire, whatever, and still be back in my house in like 20 minutes haha. It’s pretty fuckin convenient

Sorry guys. Imma bump this to ask one last question. How many injection spots should I use? I was planning on just hitting my delts. Should I pin quads too or will delts be enough? 10 week cycle, pinning twice a week

more the better but 2 should be fine
