I’m 6’2 (6’3 for you liars out there) and naturally my body gravitates towards about 165. My body fat isn’t exceptionally low or anything, but underneath it, im about as skinny as they come. I used to run cross-country, track, and do a lot of cross-country mountain biking. Right now i’m about 205 lbs.
I’m currently 6 feet 4.5 inches. I weigh in at roughly 185.
Dont have the exact weights but can get sometime this week. I do have some of my maxes though from 2 weeks ago.
Bench Press = 185x1 ( month ago)
Squat = 275x1 (was roughly a month ago)
Deadlift = 315x1 (2 weeks ago)
Pull-Up = Can do 10 straight wide grips, 15-16 with shoulder width grip
Vertical = have yet to test, but can dunk easily one handed, two handed, one handed windmill, etc
I can get the rest of the lifts by Thursday unless someone has already been chosen?
Hmmm… I’m not quite skinny. I’d be about 90kgs (200lbs) at 6 feet nothing, but I do have really small joints (wrist = 14cm). I’ve managed to get from a 68kg distance runner with 15% BF to a 90kg powerlifter with 15% bodyfat in a year, but although I WANT to be a powerlifter (Squat 200kg, Deadlift 160kg, Bench 120kg) my genetics just won’t let me be as good as the other guys. My problem is that I just don’t seem to gain anything anymore, even on 1-Test, or Methyl-1-Test.
I’m really keen to see if any of the advice given to the “Guinea Pig” will help me.
Well Here is your guy right here. 6’0" 170 lbs. Ran cross country and distance running in HS and College and was damn good. Finished 70th in the federation meet for NYS whis is the final state meet with all A,B,C and D school state qualifiers in it. There were approx 400 runners. I can lift at LEAST 3 times a week though a M W F program would be ideal. I have my supplies of Surge and Grow! and ZMA. Also ordered that new MAG-10 not sure if you want me to take it for the program though. I coach Volleyball and play with the kids all the time. Only problem is I can’t jump like I did when I was 17 or 18 so my hitting suffers big time and I have a hard time showing correct form. I need Fast twitch explosiveness. I am extremely slow twitch and a hard gainer, I went through a period when I was drinking like 3-4 of those GNC weigth gainer 2200 a day with my normal meals and only gained about five pounds in several months. and I lost it as soon as I cut the shakes out. I’ll get some recent pics up as well as my 1RM’s and reps at 85% soon.
It almost sounds like the thread was personally addressed me… i’m 6 feet 160lb and of course have small joints and used to do a lot of endurance stuff. I’ve given up all that lately to focus on packing on size with weights, but seem to be seeing very little progress once I hit 160lb. I’m 23 btw.
miilitary press:
1rm: 90x1
85%: 75x11
bench:
1rm: 130x1
85%: 110x7
squat:
1rm: 210x1

deadlift:
1rm: 260x1
85%: 220x9
pull up: (bw=160)
1rm: 27.5+160=187.5
85% of plates weight: 22.5x3
85% of total weight: 160x10
vert jump: 22 inch (total body travel)
I hope I’m one of the lucky ones to get picked because I’d love some extra help getting big.
The article that most hit home was CT’s Easy-Hard-Gainer. I’ve often thought I just move the same bit of muscle around
My body adapts very quickly be it food, supplements or training. I can tolerate high carbs, fat or protein although seem to work better on high fats/protein and lower carbs.
i’m 30 years old. 6’4 230 lbs. been working out with limited sucess for 12 years. i’m much better at endurance sports (triathlon, running etc.) but love to lift. Thin wrists 7.25’ and my .85% of 1rm are as follows:
Bench 8 reps
squat 6 reps
deadlift 6 reps
overhead press 6 reps
chins 8 reps
vert jump not sure but pretty poor.
Assuming this is still open, I’m 6’2", 160 lbs. When I first got to school this semester, I was at 150. I think my body is most stable at about 155. I never thought I was slow twitch, but I always used to think my max is barely more than what I rep at.
Estimates for reps at 85% max:
Bench: 10 @ 135lbs
Overhead Press: 10 @ 105lbs
Squat: 10 @ 235lbs
Deadlift: 8 @ 245lbs
Pullups: I guess bodyweight I can do 10-15.
Vertical: I can dunk 2-handed, I guess its a little over 24".
I usually don’t lift with a partner so I don’t know my max in any lift. These are all assuming my max weight for four reps, as that’s the most weight I ever use.
I do have a decent amount of body fat, considering how skinny I am. I used to be chubby, but I hit a huge growth spurt and never really lost that fat. Of course, I’m quite far from overweight. When I was trying out for the baseball team, they took our BMIs and the trainer had to ask if I ate right and whatnot. He told me I was borderline.
Vertical J : 30" <-(Re-tested by coaches [38"? wow, I wonder why that number was stuck in my head LOL)
Speed 40 : 4.46 <-(Re-Tested by coaches)
I posted in the first thread with a picture. I am the classic skinny guy your looking for. ( My wrist/arms are tiny, I can wrap my pinky and thumb around my wrist. Again, I would love this opportunity.
In addition, I have stuck to the nutrition plan(to the T-) presented in Jb’s DVD “one size fits all portion,” and have been extremely disciplined for 5 months without many adjustments to the plan. My supplements are strictly T-nation and *you can check my track record on purchases every month. I am waiting to purchase the supplements that are out of stock at this moment for this coming month (Surge, Low-Carb Grow!).
It seems they bailed on the idea without telling any of us or giving any reasons to why. After re-testing, and gathering the information I personally felt angry with the way they handled this thread.
