Skinny Fat With Pics (Awful I Know)

The thing about the bitch tits is that like alot of people say you have very little muscle mass to speak of. You start eating and building some pecs and the bodyfat will be alot less noticeable.

Congrats, abom and vigilant! It sounds like you did some great work. Do you two have any before and after pics?

Haven’t bothered reading all the posts, but I had a similar situation. Got fat after high school, weighed around 220 with hardly any muscle, went on a diet where I ate hardly anything for a month or two and ended up at 170. Strangely enough I had a belly like yours despite being completely skinny. I realised I was going psycho about my selfimage and I decided I had to do something else to look better, and began training. Now I am 230 (6"2).

All it took was getting used to the habit of training, eating almost all the food I could see and not worrying about bullshit details, while focusing on increasing strength and learning stuff from more experienced people and reading. In 2 years I went from 170 to 230ish and now I can actually have thoughts about dieting, but only because I actually have muscle to show underneath.

And going to 4000 kcals directly is way to drastic. Just make sure you are gaining weight every week. Good luck it’s not impossible.

It may or may not be too drastic. He’s gotta keep eating more until he gains weight. I’m smaller than he is (5’5", 125) and I’ve had to increase my calories up to 3500 just to gain about 1.5 lbs/week

his metabolism is shot so he should just add 500 calories a week till he starts gaining some weight. 4000 calories is a lot for somebody who weighs 130 but months from now its not gonna be enough.

Yeah, as someone posted earlier. I think we need an anorexia forum here on T-Nation.

I think this picture progression clearly shows the results of CR.

This fellow went from having muscle mass to bone only. He seems to think he will love longer this way.

That web site is sad. Why is it the people who seem to actually live the longest are the people who did the exact opposite of what that guy is recommending? My great aunt died at 114 years of age. She smoked. She didn’t restrict calories even though she wasn’t overweight. I think what helped her live so long is most describe her easy going. The guy weighs 120lbs now. When do we get to see all of these people weighing 100lbs but living to be over 100 years of age?

I would rather live a full life than an extremely long one. After everyone you know is dead, waiting for the inevitable must be a bitch.[/quote]

It is sickening. He looked small at 140. At 123, his arms are quite possibly on par with Nicole Richie’s. Anyhow, the recent rat data suggests that it is not caloric restriction which prolongs life but maintaining low levels of bodyfat. Rats that were very active and ate significantly more calories than their more sedentary, calorically-restricted counterparts lived just as long. In human beings, a muscular, active human-being can maintain low levels of bodyfat and still eat normal amounts of food. What’s the quality of life of these calorically-restricted people anyhow. I imagine they go through life listless and lacking energy. They must have trouble getting adequate nutrition and vitamins and minerals. I wouldn’t be surprised if they have osteoporosis issues and other medical complications even if they live longer than most. I’d rather be healthy and vibrant and be able to lift and run my entire life and kick the bucket at 85 [people that age have run marathons-I doubt they’re living on lettuce] than be a half-dead skeleton who exists to the age of 110.

Depends on a lotsof factors. We have no idea what he is does for a living, but I’m guessing he does office work or something. Anyway the point is there is such a thing as too fast bulking, even in his state.

plus that dude totally looks like a pussy…haha. he probably can’t get boners either. whats the point of living life being a boner-less, scrawny pussy

I just came across this thread. How’s the bulking going bobsisnew?

Here is what you need to do. You don’t “need” to do anything. Anything that you do should be because you have made a rational decision, so you “want” to do it, or “think” it might be good for you, or you think it might be fun. If you can’t get that straight in your head then all the muscle in the world won’t make you a happy person.

Your body is as good as 99% of people in the real world. If you want to improve your body then great. But it is a long process, and if you are desperate for instant results then you will quickly burn out. Good luck.

Well wasn’t gonna post for a few more months but since you asked, here’s my stats.

Empty stomach (morning) 157lb
5x5 program
Bench:160
DL: 260
Miltary barbell: 110

Still months to go.

Wow, 27 pounds in 8 or 9 weeks. That’s outstanding!

Thanks alot, but I think it was just newbie gains, hopefully it’ll keep goin. My bench sucks though, I hate working chest, gotta work harder, but love DLs. Just ordered some creatine and Surge to help out.

Keep it up. As long as you put an effort into it, the gains will come. It seems like you know what you have to do.

On a slight tangent: Some stuff on this thread truely is disturbing. Gyno??? Skinny-fat???

Good work bro, the first months are going to be the best for you. I used to weight around what you started weighting and I can tell you if you keep your diet solid and train hard you will make amazing gains very quickly. The kind of gains everyone you know would notice you are building some serious muscle without you even telling them you are hitting the gym.

All in all keep up the good work bro, and dont worry about getting fat in my case my overall bf% dropped from the bulk.

thanks alot, yea I have’nt really noticed that much if any fat gain.

And for the weight, turns out I had a pound or 2 or water and food still left in me. I got out at 155 this morning.

That’s great. I’ve gone from 5’5" 112 to 5’5" 132 in 3 1/2 months but I definitely had some fat gain in there. I started out at 6% though. So I had plenty of room to spare with body fat.

nice job on your lifts

Just saw this thread, three months late. I used to have moobs. The thing is if you have muscle underneath, you will always look you have a chest, not br***ts. I’m fat though. Do you need some pictures to make you feel better? How’s it comming newbies can make great gains Oh and one tip, don’t go crazy with the creatine. Do not take more than directed.

thanks. Umm for the creatine, i’m planning on taking 5 before and 5 after workout, with Surge after only, after loading. Why do you say don’t go overboard? I’m only taking 10 g b/c it’s dirt cheap.
