Day 2 of the performance workouts. Total change of pace and feeling awesome. Trying to be a little more @barley1 or @T3hPwnisher.
Now it’s time for volleyball and then we’re a house divided as the Red Rifle takes on his old Bengals. Keep pounding!
I’ll be on the road for most of the month after this, with far more red eyes than I typically like to take (read: any) so we’ll see what nonsense I can pull off.
I feel better, more athletic and lighter on my feet, for a few days after doing the power/speed stuff. That style of training and metcons are the key to living forever. Probably.
Just a quick update: I’ve had incredible hotel gym workouts. This place has decent equipment and relatively heavy weight. I’ve done full leg and back workouts, and a quick chest pump this morning. Tomorrow I’ll knock out some arms before heading off to the next trip.
Pretty baller chest and shoulders workout today in the hotel gym today. I tend to default to my “norm” during these periods, which is fine, but I am craving a training change of pace. No idea what would float my boat right now, though.
Which of you is in London and wants to bury me in the gym tomorrow?
I’d love to, but I’m about 5 hours in the wrong direction, probably a bit much for a quick gym session! Although if you’re heading further down the south west then more than welcome to join me in the garage!
I’m sorry been super busy with work to catch up on here. Not sure when you are in London but i’m around the midlands and not due to be in London this week (although i do go there quite often).
Sorry. I’ll have to try and align my work diary if this happens again! Would love to catch up for a workout…probably chest and arms!
We shall see. Probably not in the short term, as we’re not yet direct in Oz. I’ve been down a couple times (Sydney) in a previous role at the same corporation that just bought us, though, so maybe?
Was able to catch an earlier flight and get home for dinner and a movie with my family last night - I was ridiculously excited to sit in the last uncomfortable seat on the back of the plane.
I am headed into a still high, but more reasonable schedule for the rest of the year - coupla, three days a week kind of thing.
I decided to just give Meadows’ Taskmaster a shot. The higher volume/ frequency takes so much pressure off any individual session, leaves lots of time for walking/ flying, is easier on joints, and I want to see how I respond.
