Shoulder Pain

I’ve been lifting seriously for four years now. I think I’ve been doing rather well. As of recently, I’ve been noticing shoulder pain in my right shoulder towards the front of it.

It’s not a sharp pain but I’m afraid it may get worse. It hurts when I do bench press, barbell press, and even if I use the chest machines. I lift pretty heavy on bench press or atleast I did. I was reping 275lbs a good four to six times. I could do the same ammount of reps on barbells with 130lbs.

I have recently been trying to do less weight but it still doesn’t seem to be helping. I don’t really know what to do but I would like some advice. Can I still lift heavy or would it be best to lay off the heavy weights for a while? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Rob

exact same thing, in the exact same shoulder. I was pretty sure I tore my front delt, and my doctor thinks so too. I go in for an MRI tomarow. DO NOT fuck around with shoulder pain 4 weeks off MINIMUM, then I would probably start off with moderate weights on dumbell bench pressing and no other pressing at all for a while, if there is ANY pain from the DB pressing, go see your doctor.
