Seriously, Guys!!

I tried the HRX with my noon meal, and while I felt jittery, the overwhelming urge to blow chow never surfaced.

Well that is certainly one way to drop some weight.

I was avoiding using a burner. The weight loss program has hit a serious stall for the past month and a half; so the order went in. For general info, I’ll post what happens here.

This feels just like it did when I took yohimbe. I hate that feeling.

I am going to try taking it with meals from here on out.

I guess I’m just a big 'ol puss.

Or try taking it before your workout and eat after.
I can’t eat for about 3 to 4 hours after I take the HRX - I find myself “burping” water, which is all I feel like having after it. That is why I began taking the dosage only in the early morning.

I wonder if the HRX would have a more elegant delivery on the system if it didn’t have the Yohimbine in it - like the Caffeine free Spike.

I have also tried:

*2 pills with 1/3 of the Spike Shooter
*2 pills with half a pill caff free Spike and 1/3 of Spike Shooter
*2 pills with half a can
*3 pills with 1/3 of can
*3 pills with half a can

But no food for hours and 2 hours straight on the treadmill on the incline at high intensity.

The day I took the 3 pills with the Spike Shooter half can I did 3 hours on the treadmill and 1 hour weightlifting.
Two servings of Surge and a small serving of plain noodles before the second two hour workout.

You should change your user name to GI Jane!

You obviously have a high tolerance for stimulants. I know its not gentlemanly, but could you tell us your bodyfat percentage? Single digits?

Great! The carbs are muting the Yohimbe. I started taking with meals when I read about it on the main HRX thread.

When I first took the HRX I experienced the same as you but within 3 days I was ready for more.
I don’t know my BF%, my training history is:

I hit the weight room 2 years ago and for two years solid I lifted high intensity ( always heavy ) and high volume and eating big. No machines.
I began turning my attention to conditioning and started punching the boxing bag for 1hour workouts. I had stress fractures and tendonitis in four fingers so I had to stop that - I did wrap and had gloves on ( I have slender wrists and fingers and my arms overpower them ).

The past 28 days have been the first time in two years I began to “cut”.

I am 5’7" - was 159lbs before the 28 days conditioning faze with the HRX.
I went down two dress sizes in 28 days.
I have maintained the muscle - I will check my weight again and will see if I can find a way to measure my BF%, or ask someone to give me an estimate at the gym today.

I don’t look “ripped”. I think I look like a middle weight boxer or a strong butterfly swimmer - the latter being what I was before I switched to dry land. I was told by an Olympic Tae Kwon Do athlete I would be excellent for martial arts because I have very powerful hips and thighs. I only went on the treadmill for that long because I had already injured both my hands and was afraid to injure my feet if I started kickboxing ( skinny ankles - my hips and thighs would definitely overpower them ).

You should be my coach. Aren’t you a martial artist/fighter? What is your training like whilst on the HRX? Did you experience your intensity go up in training?

Yes, I am 4th Dan in TKD. I started my cut so I could get a little faster. At my age (52) there aren’t that many guys in the area to fight, so I have to fight the younger guys, such as in the 35 to 42 years group.

The best exercise I’ve ever done for overall conditioning is the Burpee.

Try a ladder: 20, rest, 19, rest, and so on…

Brutal but effective. :>

That is excellent! I’m not sure what the 4th Dynasty is but the fact that you are still physically hurting people at your age that is exactly what I am aiming for…
; )

My suggestion for when you take on the 35 year olds is ( I am 36 and if I were a 52 year old woman fighting me I would be worried )
try 1/2 a pill of the Caffeine-Free Spike with half a can of the Spike Shooter to assess tolerance. At 1 Caffeine-Free Spike pill with one can of the Spike Shooter you will be unstoppable!

*I took the 1 pill Caffeine-Free Spike w/ 1 can Spike Shooter without building up to it and it was quite the bomb!
Thanks, I will try this tomorrow - I’ve become the Olympic treadmill incline walker of my gym - time to do something different and I like brutal.

There is a T-Nation member who is a fitness instructor at my gym and I asked him today what he thought my body fat was and he said: “It is hard to tell, there is no accurate measure to test it and that is why there is so much controversy, etc…”
So either:

a.This is what he truly believes, or

b. He was trying to be “nice” and didn’t want to tell me I was above the single digits (which I am because I can still bleed - though my bra cup size is now being demoted from a healthy B to an A ), or

c. All of the above

There are TKD lessons at my gym. I thought about joining but I would have to cut my nails…no nails , no breasts and shortish hair with muscle, well that is just about the death of my feminine looks.

GI Jane was a cup C.

4th Dan is kind of like a Masters degree in college, a 4th degree blackbelt. It also means I’m qualified to teach or open a studio if I so desired.

I’m going to try out the Spike shooter advice in the Dochang (studio); if positive, I’ll repeat it at tournament time.

Make sure to warm up for the Burpees — your lower back gets hit hard.

have you guys experienced anxiety attacks with taking this?
skimmy_jimmy wrote:

Yes, when I took it on an empty stomach. They were mild but I’d get them in the middle of the night, which intensifies any emotion. Try taking with carbs and start with one/AM and one/PM.

BTW: down to 266 lbs last night. HRX is fantastic!!
skimmy_jimmy wrote:

Yohimbe has a reputation for this.

I’ve noticed that the ‘buzz’ from HRX is lessening. Does anyone know if that means its effects are wearing off? I don’t mind losing the energy, not a big deal, as long as it helps me keep losing the fat.

About 2 weeks before my tournaments, I plan on really loading up on food. It should be mostly muscle, as the fat storage takes about 2 weeks to kick in. Anyone ever done this before?
Yes, but HOT-ROX doesn’t have yohimbie in it.

HRX does contain yohimbe.

As I mentioned before I can stop this.

And it would probably boost your cup size as well.

You sound good to me.

Which also means you are dangerous enough, ; )
You can also use this as a mini break from the HRX, do the Spike Shooter + Caffeine Free Spike for 2 days then return to HRX - or you may be ready to up the am dose to 2 pills at one time or try the same dose as now but on an empty stomach and with 4oz of water - you will experience a sensation of a small furnace burning within…It’s almost like being on fire within.
Make sure to warm up for the Burpees — your lower back gets hit hard.
I did the burpees. They were brutal - I have officially moved into the single digits, : )

Now seriously…
I couldn’t do it the way you suggested to me. I did: 20 then rest, 15 rest, 10 rest, 5. Then went on the treadmill for 2 hours non stop on max incline at 5.5 speed - thus breaking my own record ( I’m after that Olympic Gold )

I did explosive jumps and explosive push ups. My back is intact but my right ankle and left knee joints hurt -I think I am too heavy weight for this: I really jumped and landed heavy and jump dropped ( I like to think of myself as a bomb ) on the floor and exploded up for the push up.

Also, I see myself progressing in this manner:
25, 20, 15, 10, 5.
30, 25, 15, 10, 5.
35, 30, 15, 10, 5.
And so on - or not.

I cannot for the life of me see myself doing 20 rest, 19 rest, 18 rest, etc like you told me.

If you, sir, have indeed done it in this fashion; 20,19,18 and so on I don’t think you have to worry about those 35 year olds - you are golden!

Go get them!

big belly laughter

Oh my word…only you to make me laugh about this!

You know this is my big training issue for me - laughter is definitely the cure.

Thank you. I am honored you want to give me a break from my periods, albeit for 9 months, and progress me from a humble A to a majestic D size.

OMG,

I AM old! I couldn’t figure out what the hell Zap was talking about until you wrote this.

LOL!

Ross’ training site has lots of other stuff besides the Burpees. He won’t get anyone huge but he is the master of BW exercise.
