65 lb warmup
115 warmup
215*1 warmup
265*3
…
305
I wanted to get this for like 3 reps as I’m doing 5/3/1, but felt like a weakling…did 3 singles…here’s one from the back for all my female fans…
From the side…if anyone has any ‘form’ comments I’d be obliged.
Can I be critical?
Why are you warming up with 65 and 115 lb? Too light for you. And then a jump to 215? Or are there additional sets in between?
When the first video started, I thought you were a sumo puller by your foot position. Then you took your grip and . . . well, you are pulling with practically a snatch grip width, which is a very weak position to pull from. If you’re going to pull conventional, how about narrowing your feet and grip A LOT. Or how 'bout trying sumo?

I just went out to the garage and tried a narrower grip…not sure why I had it out so far…will give it a shot next week.
Thanks !!

I’m kinda pulling that way (I think) because it’s a long way down to those 25 lb plates…I think my stance is different when I’m using 45 lb plates in my gym at work…not sure…to be honest I’m kinda new to lower body exercises…all input is appreciated…

“Come on MAN!” is what the guy in the side ground said. He was going to curl today with those 15# db until Sen dropped his sweaty sack on them…(slouches and walks away dejected)

I used to have the old 1" diameter hole plates too and didn’t realise until I got my Olympic set how small the plates were. My 25kg plates were a good 2 1/2 inches smaller.
So in effect you are doing a 3" deficit deadlift. That’s probably why you have to have that wide stance to get down to it.
Get yourself some wooden blocks, that’s what I did. Or carry on knowing that when you use 450mm diameter plates your deadlift will shoot up.

I was thinking the same thing my Welsh Brother, but The Snapper has been so Elite and All That lately I thought it best to agree with her…

Unless you develop such bad form that you fuck your self up when you get back to normal DL’s.
I think people have a tendency to let some really bad form habits develop doing DL variants.
